Spain was represented by Jaime Morey at the Eurovision Song Contest 1972, held in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Morey was selected internally by Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE), the Spanish broadcaster, to represent the country at the contest in Scotland with the song "Amanece".

At Eurovision

Morey performed 4th in the night of the contest, following Ireland and preceding the United Kingdom. At the close of voting Morey had received 83 points, placing 10th in a field of 18.[1]
