Last rights for Kelly[edit]

The para regarding last rights for Kelly needs some work, it makes it seem as though Gibney gave Ned Kelly his last rights - but Ned was hanged, he didn't die of wounds suffered in a gunfight.

This is the only bit saving this article from a lack of notability: being a principle isn't notable (see: WP:Prof) Garrie 01:35, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From WP:NOTABILITY: "A topic is generally notable if it has been the subject of coverage that is independent of the subject, reliable, and attributable."
Gibney was the subject of a 1994 biography by Philomena Lowe entitled "Friend of the Orphan", and a brief biography in Liam Barry's "Voices from the Tomb". There are also two unpublished biographies lodged in the J S Battye Library. Add to that the two cited newspaper articles, and I think notability is easily established.
The proponderance of non-notable Aquinas-related material being produced has become a real problem, and I'm glad to see you're tacking the article on its oval (!) But let's not throw the baby out with the bath-water.
