  Clarification requested

  • The request contain two sections:
  1. One section which does not list the desired changes verbatim (instead, listing them as bulleted points)
  2. A second section which does list the desired changes verbatim

Having two such request formats can be confusing. The edit request should utilize an economy of formats by listing both the changes desired verbatim along with the reasons why. These should be listed together instead of being separated by intervening bulleted sections.[a] In the collapsed section below titled Request example, I have listed one such way this could be formatted to improve clarification of the desired changes.

Notes

  1. ^ Having a change and its reason separated by 3 or 4 paragraphs of other reasons without a way of linking the two means that any reason could theoretically apply to any change (i.e., "outdated" or "incorrect figure given", etc.)

Clarification on Edit Request[edit]

NOTE: I am proposing this edit for FleishmanHillard on behalf of Northside Hospital. I am a paid editor and am aware of the COI guidelines.

@Spintendo: Thanks for your guidance on the format. We’ve re-organized the request in a format similar to the example you provided. Ultimately, our goal is to address the two maintenance templates currently on the page and provide new recommended content that hopefully will address these issues. Please see below and thank you for your consideration!

Extended content

Infobox

  1. Current location in Infobox is specific to Northside Hospital’s Atlanta medical office and doesn’t represent the fact that Northside Hospitals operates medical facilities across the Atlanta area.
  2. Suggest: Replace current location with “Atlanta metropolitan area.” [1]

Northside Hospital Healthcare System

  1. Currently, the article begins with an informational section (“Northside Hospital Healthcare System”) that contains information that is unsourced, first-party sourced or written in a potentially non-neutral manner.
  2. Suggest: Removing the “Northside Hospital Healthcare System” header and all content in that section (except Milestones, which I address below); replace with the following paragraph summarizing Northside Hospitals and its specialties to introduce page:

Northside Hospital, Inc. (commonly known as Northside Hospital) refers to a network of hospitals and medical facilities in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. [2] Its specialties include oncology, gynecology, neurology, orthopedic surgery and gastroenterology. [3]

Milestones

  1. Suggest: Change “Milestones” to “Rankings” (to more accurately reflect the nature of information in this section) and move to follow “History” section (to bring more relevant information up in the order).

History

  1. Currently, the information for Northside Hospital Atlanta, Northside Hospital Forsyth and Northside Hospital Cherokee is improperly sourced or unsourced. Also, the information under Gwinnett County is a forward-looking statement on a merger that is in the works, but has not yet officially occurred.
  2. Suggest replacing the current information in the History section with the following, which seeks to bring sourcing in line with Wikipedia standards and condense information about the network’s history:

Northside’s flagship hospital, located in what is today known as Sandy Springs, opened in 1970. [4] An eight-level patient tower was added in October 2018 to house the hospital’s blood and marrow transplant services. [5] In 1997, Northside Hospital purchased half of R.T. Jones Memorial Hospital in Canton, Georgia and renamed the facility Northside Hospital-Cherokee. [6] Northside Hospital-Cherokee’s new location opened in May 2017 and has a staff of 2,000 employees, including 800 physicians. [7]

Northside Hospital purchased Baptist Medical Center in Cumming, Georgia in 2002. [8] and renamed the facility Northside Hospital-Forsyth. [9] Originally a 41-bed facility [10], the hospital has since expanded to a capacity of 304 beds. [11]

Northside Hospital’s midtown Atlanta location opened in November 2018. [12] The 169,000-square foot medical office provides services for cancer, sports medicine, diabetes, sleep disorders and other conditions. [13]

Key Services

  1. Much of what’s currently listed here is unsourced or not properly sourced.
  2. Will leave to your judgment if you’d like to retain, but we suggest removing this section due to sourcing issues (and the fact that some of the services have been mentioned in the proposed History section above).

  • The information which is to be added has not been delineated. Instead, the added information has been incorporated along with previously approved claims in the History section, leaving the reviewer with no way to easily discern which of the claims are being added with the current request from those which have already been implemented.
  • The COI editor is asked to segregate claims which have not yet been approved from claims which are already approved. The COI editor is additionally asked to provide reasons for why the claims should be added if those reasons are not obvious.[1] Those reasons should be provided immediately adjacent to the proposed claims in question, rather than provided as a general introduction to the request. A sample request for how this should be done is shown below:
Sample edit request

1. Please remove the third sentence from the second paragraph of the Sun section:

Article ready for stub status if a non-press release indication of existence can be found[edit]

I have cleaned out all the press release sourced material. Wit a COI on the scene, let them do the work to find WP:RS reliable sources and suggest referenced text additions — Neonorange (Phil) 20:10, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Northside Hospital may very well be notable (it's a consortium or some other set of hospitals in the Atlanta metro area), but this was never an encyclopedic article, sourced as it was, only to press releases. At the moment, a Google search on >Northside Hospital Atlanta<, first hit, page right, quotes this Wikipedia COI article, sourced to Northside Hospital press releases. — Neonorange (Phil) 15:07, 24 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
