- 22 Jan 1982, easyJet jumped into World 20th. (12th Europe)
- 22 Feb 1982, finally, easyJet goes to Europe 10th. (17th world)
- 15 May 1982, easyJet expands to USA! LGW/AMS to Atlanta.
- 18 May 1982, easyJet becomes the largest operator in London Gatwick with the new Airbus300B1.
- Sep 1982, easyJet open two new base - London Stansted and Barcelona.
1981[edit]
- 1 Jan 1981, easyJet commenced service. First flight depart from Gatwick to Munich.
- 4 Jan 1981, easyJet commenced first domestic service from Gatwick to Liverpool.
- 1 Mar 1981, Neofung/easyJet(UK) service covers two-third major UK airports
- 3 Mar 1981, easyJet recorded a negative flight cash €-3,269,285, and announce the possibility of closing down airlines to main hub.
- 16 Mar 1981, easyJet commenced 7 new routes to Germany, and a total of 8. Making Germany as the most destinations from London Gatwick, together with France.
- 23 Mar 1981, easyJet order their 10th aircraft, which is a Beech C99. easyJet also announce that they are going to operate new routes in France and Spain by June 1981. Hope to cover 75% of the major airports in France, which easyJet covers 50% of the ports; and 15% of Spain major airports apart from the current Palma de Mallorca.
- 22 Apr 1981, easyJet adds new flights to Paris Orly (EZY 6922), and easyJet announce they would develop France as the most destinations country outside UK. 4 other destinations are added in Spain as well. When new planes arrive, services to Austria, Denmark and Switzerland will be launched. Additional destinations in France will also be covered.
- 23 Apr 1981, Followed by the 22 Apr announcement, services to Austria-Vienna, Germany-Berlin-Tegel,
Slovakia-Bratislava, Sweden-Stockholm-Arlanda by Beech C99 are launched. Yet, a bit different from the original plan: Sweden instead of Denmark, Slovakia instead of Switzerland, Germany instead of France.
- 30 Apr 1981, easyJet recorded a deficit of €-6,758,455, 106% more than in March. easyJet announced the termination of her expansion plan.
- 24 May 1981, easyJet adds/upgrades 20 new routes to her network. She has fulfil her announcement on 22 Apr 1981. With the expansion this time, the following achievements were made:
- 1. Covers all major airports in UK
- 2. Covers 11 major airports in France (i.e. 70%)
- 3. Covers 11 major airports in Germany (i.e. 65%)
- 1 Jun 1981, due to the too-quick expansion, easyJet recorded a deficit of €-8,451,361, increase by 25%. The court of UK asked easyJet to put more effort in monitoring their finance and balance sheet. In respond, easyJet announced they will not expand their destinations in short. When new aircraft arrived, the old planes will be phased out. It is expected that Pilatus PC-6-B1/H2 Turbo-Porter will be the first model to be sold.
- 21 Jun 1981, easyJet started to slow down her expansion. 13 destinations are added. Further upgrade will be made when larger planes come.
- 15 Aug 1981, easyJet starts two new African routes - Algiers and Monastir - Habib Bourguiba Int. Further upgrade has been made as well.
- 16 Aug 1981, easyJet announce that after their final expansion to Germany from London Gatwick is completed, a new base will be created. The new base is yet to be announced.
- 13 Sep 1981, easyJet joins SkyWorld Global Alliance as a founding member.
- 16 Sep 1981, easyJet announce to start a new hub in Amsterdam!
- Linkage to 16 cities from Amsterdam is now as cheap and easy as possible!
- Transit in London Gatwick also bring you to 31 destinations among UK, and 3 in Ireland!
- 16 Oct 1981, easyJet welcomes her first Boeing 737-200 Adv. The new airplane serves routes depart from Madrid.
- Currently, flights from Amsterdam connect 30 destinations.
- Meanwhile, easyJet starts to serve Madrid as well, connected with 7 destinations.

- 24 Oct 1981, easyJet's DOP first exceed €10 million.
- Flights departed from Madrid increase to 12.
- 23 Nov 1981, easyJet now flies to 59 destinations from Amsterdam, and 11 from Rome Leonardo Da Vinci.
- 14 Dec 1981, easyJet steps to Russia. Now serves three routes to Moscow Domodedovo. And the flight between Madrid and Moscow Domodedovo is the longest route currently.
