Please consider more robust citations[edit]

On Kanye West, you placed a bare URL as a footnote. Instead, I recommend using citation templates if you are using <ref>...</ref> within Wiki markup code & by adding a new reference if you are using VisualEditor. Peaceray (talk) 18:41, 12 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

April 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Kanye West does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Peaceray (talk) 19:49, 12 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Moors murders, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. David J Johnson (talk) 21:37, 16 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop making test edits to Wikipedia, as you did to 2016–17 Chelsea F.C. season. It is considered vandalism, which, under Wikipedia policy, can lead to being blocked from editing. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Qed237 (talk) 00:03, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting sourced content[edit]

You should explain, using a WP:Edit summary, why you are deleting content, especially content that is reliably sourced. You cannot simply go around deleting content on Wikipedia because you don't like it. And per WP:BLP, sources for articles on living people need to be up to a certain standard. Read WP:BLP. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 15:02, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

TMZ, for example, is a poor choice to use for WP:BLP articles. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 15:03, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your attention needed at WP:CHU[edit]

Disambiguation link notification for October 15[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of awards and nominations received by Kanye West, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Drake (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Disambiguation link notification for February 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of awards and nominations received by Kanye West, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Estelle, Flashing Lights and Cruel Summer (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Ballon d'Or infoboxes[edit]

Please stop adding unnecessary infoboxes to those pages. The box contains no useful info, and since there is a navbox at the bottom of each page to help readers get from one Ballon d'Or to another, the boxes you are adding serve zero purpose whatsoever. Furthermore, I would remind you that "what about X?" is not a valid argument to use here. Just because something exists in some other location doesn't mean it should here. – PeeJay 14:24, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If the ones from pre-2000 have infoboxes, I will have to remove those too. The box is totally redundant as a navigational tool. Infoboxes are meant to summarise the content of the article at a glance, which is not the purpose you're using them for. Thanks for letting me know about the pre-2000 ones. I'll credit you in the edit summary. – PeeJay 14:41, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
