Speedy deletion of Life Union Corporation[edit]

A tag has been placed on Life Union Corporation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - AWeenieMan (talk) 21:46, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Brittaniaville, Massachusetts, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Speedy deletion of Lukin Sigillo[edit]

A tag has been placed on Lukin Sigillo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Jennie Elizabeth Eisenhower, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Jennie Eisenhower. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Regarding your contributions[edit]

Before you decide to create any new articles or make alterations to any existing ones, it might be a good idea to ask yourself whether you're really sure of the accuracy of the information you're contributing. Wikipedia requires that all the information that appears in it be verifiable through reliable secondary sources, and I've noticed that the information you've been adding is seldom, if ever, accompanied by references to such sources. It's not particularly fair to expect other editors to sort out what is valuable in your contributions from what is the result of misunderstandings or lack of knowledge on your part. The only edits of yours that I've reverted are ones that have added irrelevant or incomprehensible text to articles. I've recommended articles that you've created for deletion when they were on topics that don't meet Wikipedia's inclusion criteria (mostly because of lack of verifiability). I gave you some advice in the message "Regarding your contributions" above, and the best I can do is to direct you to that message once again. Deor (talk) 02:55, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Roman Empire 125.svg jpeg version[edit]

Hi Joshua, I read on Andrei Nacu's user talk page that you wanted a jpeg version of Roman Empire 125.svg (and wanted to know how to make one). I've made a jpeg version for you here. You can make one yourself easily. If the image is a svg type file, wikipedia always stores a full size png version of the file for use on the wikipedia (not all browsers support svg files). To get this file:

  • Go to any wikipedia page
  • Click edit
  • Type [[image:Roman Empire 125.svg]] (replace Roman Empire 125.svg with the svg of your choice)
  • Click Show preview (not: Save page!)
  • You will now see the preview page with the full size png
  • Right click that image and save it

You now have the png version. To convert it to jpeg open it in an image editing program (microsoft paint, photoshop, the gimp, doesn't matter) and save it as jpg. To be able to view the svg files directly in internet explorer, use adobe svg viewer. Other browsers like Firefox and google chrome have svg support built in. Ok hope that helps! The article Plaisirs de l’Île enchantée has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable one-off event. I'm unclear as to how an article about a single royal party in the sevententh century (without even a specified date) can be evolved into anything resembling a stand-alone article.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. danno_uk 20:07, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Charles III of the United Kingdom listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

Joshualeefreeman, I don't rightly understand what you're doing on that user page, but hey, to each his own. Anyway, what I really don't understand is why you don't use your current user page: it just looks real strange to see one account editing another's user page. Also, please make sure you don't use two accounts in a manner inconsistent with our policies--WP:SOCK#LEGIT, for instance. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 05:06, 10 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe I answer here, not sure. In any case, amovrvs is my name it forwards to. That's ok, it works. It's my latin name. What I am doing with the page, it's an analysis of the roman gold rate sestertius with the perihelion which is the determination of the great pyramid's height and measurement system. It translates to the inches we use now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joshualeefreeman (talkcontribs) 08:31, 10 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I figured it out and have Joshualeefreeman as it is. thx. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joshualeefreeman (talkcontribs) 08:38, 10 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Amovrvs/KristinHoffmann, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. April 2018[edit]

Hello, Amovrvs. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. I'm sorry, but  User:Amovrvs/KristinHoffmann has been deleted as meeting WP:CSD#G11. "This applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to conform with Wikipedia:NOTFORPROMOTION." These must be rewritten from scratch from "reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject." See WP:RS.

Wikipedia:Identifying blatant advertising#Typical signs of blatant advertising contains information about content to avoid. For more information on content that may be perceived as promotional, click User:Dlohcierekim/promo. These are just rough guides. Pages can avoid all those pitfalls and still be glaringly obvious ad copy. Sometimes pages meeting WP:CSD#G11 give the appearance of an editor violating Wikipedia:Conflict of interest or WP:PAID. Please read and heed them if they apply to you.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources . Template:cite has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{references}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there.

If you want to try again, please use the Article Wizard or articles for creation to guide you through the creation process. The new user tutorial can help you avoid future problems.

You may find this tool useful: Google custom search Don't feel discouraged. My first attempts at creating articles were deleted too.

There is more information at Wikipedia:Community portal. There is help available at THE TEAHOUSE. Cheers, and happy editing. --Dlohcierekim (talk) 17:15, 27 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
