License tagging for Image:Mapflightmap.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mapflightmap.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:08, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Mapflightmap2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mapflightmap2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ed Peterson.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ed Peterson.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. ZimZalaBim talk 12:30, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you re-uploaded this image, claiming that you hold the copyright. That is not true. We take copyright violations very seriously on Wikipedia. If you continue to take credit for images you did not create, you can be blocked from editing. – Quadell (talk) (random) 16:55, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Ed Peterson1.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Ed Peterson1.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 06:34, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Baltimore phenomenon with maps[edit]

Hello Geographyprof, I'm sorry for the confusion, but Baltimore phenomenon with maps was previously deleted due to a discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Baltimore phenomenon, so I've deleted it again. The primary problem was that the phrase "Baltimore Phenomenon" appears to be a neologism. Searching for ("Baltimore Phenomenon" + map) doesn't turn up anything on Google Books or Google Scholar. The article content therefore appears to be original research in the sense of the Wikipedia:No original research policy.

For all I know, the article refers to a well-known concept which previously had no name. If that's the case, the article might be salvageable. Feel free to explain the situation here, or at Wikipedia:Deletion review. You can also contact the closing admin of the AfD, User talk:RHaworth. Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:ClassifPalette.gif or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Information icon Hello, I'm AtticusX. Your recent edit to the page Muslim world appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. If you honestly believe the total world population is only 1.3 billion, you might want to check out the World population article and its sources. It's well established that the total global population has now surpassed 7 billion. AtticusX (talk) 10:59, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
