I have awarded you this medal for your work in helping to reduce the backlog during the Good Article Candidates Backlog Elimination Drive. You reviewed five or more articles during the drive, which helped to contribute to the large decrease in the backlog. If you have the time, please continue to review articles to help make sure the backlog does not jump back up to what it was. Good job and happy editing! Nehrams2020 06:35, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

A helping hand (or eight)
For helping me access the sources I needed in order to improve the article Velodona, I award you this Velodona togata. You should probably put it in water or something. Also, no one has any idea what it eats. I'm sure it'll be fine. And hey, at least we know (thanks to you getting me the sources) that it can't ink you... Andrew was an executive of the environment club in his high school, Thornlea Secondary School. At grade 11, he assisted hosting an assembly to increase environment awareness and promote Canadian government's One-Tonne Challenge which aims to have each Canadian reduce one tonne of global warming gases emission (e.g. CO2 and methane) a year. To tell everyone the truth, it's really easy to be environmental conscious. If everyone is willing to change their lifestyle just a little, we will all have a substainable Earth. Here're a few tips that are really easy to do to help protect the environment.
Reduce is the most effective method. By directly cutting down the production, we use up less raw materials, using less fossil fuel transportation, and lower the chance of buying sweat shop products.
Reuse is the next effective method. By giving away stuff to others (e.g. clothing, toys, TVs that are still functional, etc.) not only you are helping the environment and planet Earth, but also helping people in need.
Recycling is on the least effective of all 3R methods. However, it is always better than doing nothing. As technology improves, we are now able to recycle more materials. Recyclable items include paper, aluminum can, plastic bottom, glass bottle, battery, aluminum foil and foil ware, juice box (Tetra Pak), jugs, lids, milk carton, printer ink cartridges (and the list goes on...)
Lower thermostat of heater in winter, wear a coat instead.
Purchase products with less packaging.
Use both sides of the paper.
Rely on natural light, especially if your room has a window.
Beware of what you are washing on your driveway (if you have one). Many people wash their cars on their driveways and the toxic chemicals ends up stormwater sewage basin where they will not be undergoing waste treatment before flowing into the nearest major lakes and rivers.
And finally, if you want to show your dedication towards the protection of the environment, please put this up this userbox.
