MICRONATIONS FOREVER! File:Aericaflag1.gif

Well Hello. This is my talk page. Quite blank, ain't it? I would advise you to tell me something.

Welcome![edit]

Welcome!

Hello, Kitia, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  Mangojuicetalk 18:57, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm so glad someone actually put something on my talk page. Good luck on becoming an administater! Kitia 19:23, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice welcome! However, I don't think personal belongings such as a welcome template belong in the main Template space. Would you mind moving it to User:Kitia/Welcome?

Also, the {{PAGENAME}} variable, which you are using, can produce unwanted results:

  • The welcomed user will see the {{PAGENAME}} code if he clicks "edit this page"
  • If the welcome is archived, the {{PAGENAME}} variable won't make sense, since it will change to reflect the name of the archived page.

For these reasons, you should consider substituting the {{PAGENAME}}, by using {{<includeonly>SUBST:</includeonly>PAGENAME}} instead of {{PAGENAME}}. If you do this, the following series of events will occur when you substitute the template onto someone's talk page:

  • {{PAGENAME}} finds the name of the user (e.g., "Jimbo Wales"). See m:Help:Magic words for more info. However, it does not make a permanent copy of this finding - it stays as a variable. If you look at the source code of the page at this point, you would see {{PAGENAME}}, not Jimbo Wales.
  • To fix this, SUBST: takes the found username, and converts it from a variable into normal text. See Wikipedia:Template substitution for how this works. Now, the source code shows Jimbo Wales.
  • However, the problem is that SUBST: doesn't know that you only want it to run when you put it on a talk page. In fact, it would run as soon as you made the change to the template, and result in something like Template:Welcome on the template itself. Then the {{PAGENAME}} variable would be gone, and the template wouldn't work right. To fix this, put <includeonly> and </includeonly> around the SUBST:. Now, the SUBST: runs only when you use it on a different page - the user's talk page. Caution: this only works for substituted templates! For more info about <includeonly>, see Wikipedia:Variable#Substitution.

If you want to make this change to your templates but are confused by this complicated explanation I'd be happy to do it; just contact me at my talk page. Also, you can take a look at {{subst:User:Audacity/Welcome}} or {{subst:User:GeorgeMoney/welcome}} for examples.

Thanks, Λυδαcιτγ 05:37, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The PAGENAME thing is just a suggestion, which you can take or leave. But personal templates, used only by one person, really should not be in the template space. How about copying Template:Welkitia to User:Kitia/Welcome, and then placing {{db-author}} on it? Or, you could tell an administrator the situation, and they would be able to take care of it for you. Λυδαcιτγ 03:01, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Thank you for your neutral vote in my RFA, which succeeded with a final tally of 66-0-4. Even though you didn't support me, I appreciate your involvement. If there's anything I can help you with now that I'm an admin, please let me know on my talk page. Again, thanks! Mangojuicetalk 21:47, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you create this template and category? I had just proposed it this morning here, but you're supposed to wait a week after people have had their change to discuss it before creating anything. I have put both of them up for deletion here only to be recreated if they pass at the Proposals page. Please read the proposal procedure for more information.

Also, thanks for the barnstar! Amalas =^_^= 20:06, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • You're welcome. Kitia 20:18, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA for ComputerJoe?[edit]

Hi, you seem to be trying to create an RfA for ComputerJoe. Is this intentional? Just adding the line to WP:RFA without first creating the actual nomination isn't the correct procedure. Thanks, Gwernol 19:26, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, he has to accept the nomination first before it can be put on the WP:RFA page. I removed it for now until (or if) he accepts. Thanks, Garion96 (talk) 19:37, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the advice, Garion. Kitia 20:12, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, thanks, but I've decline the nomination. Thank you for nominating me and expressing your trust. Computerjoe's talk 07:59, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kingdom of Talossa[edit]

See User:Kitia/Kingdom of Talossa. In case you were curious, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Republic of Talossa for the discussion in which this came to be deleted; (apparently there was an older debate about Kingdom of Talossa, but I don't know where it was). Mangojuicetalk 03:17, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I’m not entirely sure what you’re trying to say in the bizarre rant you posted on my talk page, but can I suggest that if you want to conduct a meaningful discussion with me - or anyone else - on this subject you might want to at least learn to spell “legitimacy” correctly, and also maybe look up what it means in the dictionary. It certainly doesn’t have anything to do with Ben Madison’s micronation project, nor with anything “stated” in any newspaper. --Gene_poole 01:59, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

TfD nomination of Template:Welkitia[edit]

Template:Welkitia has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. Λυδαcιτγ 03:39, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, dear Kitia![edit]

Of course, dear Kitia :) Any preferences regarding color, design or layout? If you don't have any, I'll just try my best, don't worry. Hugs, Phaedriel The Wiki Soundtrack! - 16:12, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Acadame North[edit]

your support is greatly appreciated about my article, thanks --Acadamenorth 18:40, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't mention it! Kitia 18:42, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Example of vandalism[edit]

I removed your "nonsense typing" example of vandalism from Wikipedia:Vandalism - nonsense text is only one of the most simple and easily spotted types of vandalism, and the page itself goes into "Types of Vandalism" just below that point. Also, nonsense text has some good faith explanations, such as your cat jumping across your keyboard. ;) -- nae'blis 18:45, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Won't happen again! Kitia 18:46, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Errr, don't think I was criticizing your inclusion, just disagreeing with it. :) -- nae'blis 18:51, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Languages[edit]

Hi There! Can you translate my name in what language you know please, and then post it Here. I would be very grateful if you do (if you know another language apart from English and the ones on my userpage please feel free to post it on) P.S. all th translations are in alpahbetical order so when you add one please put it in alpahbetical order according to the language. Thanks!!! Abdullah Geelah 20:04, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alice Rockefeller[edit]

Do you have information about her accomplishments that I've overlooked? --Dhartung | Talk 04:50, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I note you merged the two entries, but made no notations as to how you resolved the two. How did you do it? What reference did you use? meatclerk 05:53, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How did I do it? Easy. I used common knowledge. Kitia

AFD[edit]

Why do you want to delete the article list of micronations? This is a perfectly fine article. It is in good shape. There is no reason to delete it. Please respond on my talk page. --S-man 18:40, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that's why you're here. You can edit articles, and i think you already know that. If you feel that some micronations are absent from the list, just add them but you have to provide a source. Or you can list them on the article's talk page. --S-man 18:48, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If there is a micronation you want to add to the list, add it BUT it has to be verified and it must have a link, a source. You can also talk about adding them on the article's talk page. ---S-man 19:03, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Requests for Unblock[edit]

Please explain to me the purpose of this page? It is currently empty and I don't see what you are trying to achieve with it. We already have an unblock request system. Were you perhaps looking for that? Thanks, Gwernol 20:17, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Awards[edit]

Hi Kitia, I gave you another award, now I am the only person who gave two awards, Look Here if you dont believe me. that means...you need too give me an award. Abdullah Geelah 18:24, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Kitia for the award, I would like you to put it on my Award gallery on my userpage then sign it please...if you give me a barnastar I'll give another award, that what WikiFriends do!! Abdullah Geelah 18:38, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

3RR[edit]

If you don't stop your repetitious reverting of Wikipedia:Wikipedia holidays, I'm going to recommend you be suspended for violation of Wikipedia:Three-revert rule. Your additions are n ot in keeping with that page. -- evrik 20:59, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not a girl[edit]

Abdullah Geelah (sorry if I mispelled that) told me that you edited his userpage and put in that I was a "she". I'm a boy. --S-man 15:00, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Did I? I meant to put that you were a boy. Sorry. --Kitia

August Esperanza Newsletter[edit]

Program Feature: To-Do List
The Esperanza To-Do List is a place where you may list any request, big or small, for assistance. If you need help with archiving your usertalk, for example, all you need to do is list it here and somebody will help you out. Likewise, if you need help with some area of editing on Wikipedia, list it here! Again, any matter, trivial or not, can be placed on this page. However, all matters listed on this page must not be of an argumentative nature. You do not need to be a member of Esperanza (or this program) to place or fulfill requests on this page. If you don't have any requests, consider coming by and fulfilling a few! This program has not been very active, but has lots of potential!
What's New?
In order to help proposed programs become specific enough to make into full-fledged programs, the In development section of the proposals page has been created. Proposals that are promising, but need to be organized in more detail are listed here. Please take a look at what is there, and help the proposals turn into programs.
To improve both the layout and text of the front page, in an attempt to clarify the image of Esperanza, the front page is going to have some redesigning take place. Please take your creative minds to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Front page redesign to brainstorm good ideas.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
  1. In order to make sure all users who join Esperanza are welcomed, a list of volunteers who are willing to welcome new Esperanzians is at Wikipedia:Esperanza/Members#Esperanza_welcomers. Please add yourself if you are interested; we want to make sure all new Esperanza members are welcomed!
  2. The In development section of the proposals page has been created.
  3. Proposals page: Some proposals have been moved to the aforementioned "In development" section, some have been left as a proposal, and others have been archived. For those proposals that were a good idea but didn't necessarily constitute a program, General Esperanzial Actions has been created.
  4. Two small pieces of charter reform will be decided on in a straw poll at Wikipedia talk:Esperanza/Governance. One involves filling the position of any councillors who may leave, the other involves reforming the charter.
  5. Until cooperation with the Kindness Campaign is better defined, it remains as a proposed program.
  6. There is a page for discussing the front page redesign.

Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Newsletter/Opt Out List.

Witchhunts[edit]

I removed your links to this from policy pages. In general, links to "essays" from policy pages are discouraged unless there is widespread agreement that the essay is germane. Since Wikipedia:Witchhunts describes a sentiment previously expressed on WP:SOCK and removed since it lacked community support, a link to your essay seems inappropriate.

News About Aerica[edit]

The little empire that could[edit]

Hi Cesidio? Do you like my article on you? --kitia
A little rudimentary, but if you add more to it, they will probably delete it... :(
I've updated my article at the MicroWiki with some references, by the way: Cesidio Tallini @ WicroWiki.
Hopefully the "Guy Upstairs" will provide reasons for amplifying my bio in the future. We are trying to make the Cesidian Root (it now has 40 additional TLDs compared to ICANN, not 39, with the new .PIC TLD) real competition to ICANN with a brilliant strategy, and if we succede in that our Internet, and the entire Fifth World, will be serious front page news. I know it will happen eventually, but in the meantime we don't know where we stand with a specific jurisdiction, and without a contract or some long-term commitment, we won't have a viable Fifth World industry producing the profits we need to get out of debt, and possibly grow in the future. A nation without an industry is even less than a postcard. A postcard exists because you have somewhere to go to, but the cyberstate of TTF-Bucksfan only exists in the Mind of God, which few are able to decipher. -- Rev. Dr. Cesidio Tallini
Well I can only hope the best for you, the way you were treated here. Hopefully by the time yours hits the headlines, mine will too (which I dare not talk about because, well, see Wikipedia:Witchhunts). You are, in my mind, a prophet, and my new book The Little Empire That Could will star someone like you.
 Best Regards, Kitia

PS- I'll add .PIC.

Weirdo Wikipedia[edit]

You said : did you added that sealand thing from my userpage?

Um, no. I added it because I saw it on the Sealand article. --S-man 00:05, 18 August 2006 (UTC) P.S. Do you like Weirdo Wikipedia?[reply]
Yes, I do like Weido Wikipedia. It is very creative. --Kitia
