NBA trades/signings[edit]

The reason these aren't updated until reported by the teams is that the League has to review them and sometimes they don't happen (the league rejects them, somebody fails a physical, etc). Please don't update player articles until the deal is finalized (i.e. - reported by the team(s) involved). The news' job is to report signings as they happen to get the scoop. This isn't a news site, it's an encyclopedia so having these updated immediately is less important than updating them when the results are official. Brazilian footballers named "Filho"[edit]

This comment concerns the addition of the {{Portuguese name}} template to articles about Brazilian footballers. I noticed this old change of yours to Saulo Ribeiro. Thanks for adding his full name, Saulo Mendonça Ribeiro Filho to the Infobox, as you picked up from the reference; that was helpful.

However, I just wanted to let you know that "Filho" literally means "son", and is used in the same way a person in an English-speaking country might use "Jr." (Junior) as a suffix after his name, to indicate that he has the same name as his father. So, his paternal family name is not "Filho", but "Ribeiro", I just wanted to let you know, because I notice you've edited a lot of articles about footballers. Going forward, if you run into more Brazilian footballer articles, if you could please take a few extra moments to check the reference, to see if the 'Filho' is a suffix meaning "Junior" or not, before adding the {{Portuguese name}} template so we don't misidentify their family name, that would be great.
