Edits

I do not appreciate your blocking of my contributions to wikipedia. I must admit that my first entries could have been cited poorly. In my defense, I did cite my last edit. I quoted a young man by the name of Jaime who told what he thought about the Cucuy. I can give you his email to confirm this. Thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.200.102.17 (talk) 07:01, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi, the edit you made was reverted because it removed a large amount of text and replaced it with incomprehensible non-english text, which was not constructive. Your other edits appears to have been reverted by other users, so you will need to contact them for a rationale of why they reverted it. Thanks, Stickee (talk) 07:07, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Barnstar for you

FYI

I deleted Bakkerboy's user talk page where you had left a warning for the attack article as it contained a copy of said attack article. Instead of revdel'ing over stuff, I decided that it would be quicker to just delete the user talk page and re-issue the attack page warning. Just wanted to let you know in case you were curious about what happened to your edit. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 08:46, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

printinghouse.tv

hi there,

could you let me/us know how to make this article more noteworthy? The site has inspired changes to legislation in Vancouver, and impacted practises across Canada, and has over 6,000 visitors a day....I'm sure the reject is an error, or that i/we can do something to improve the article to highlight its noteworthiness. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.67.170.77 (talk) 23:19, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Hey, because you oppose the WP:PROD it has instead been listed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Printinghouse.tv where you can discuss why it should or shouldn't be deleted. The criteria for a noteworthy website is located at WP:WEB. Thanks, Stickee (talk) 23:42, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi again - it's really interesting to see the process here to work this out. Is there anywhere on the system that helps new users work their way through this complex process. Now that i've put a bit of work into this page, i would really like to see it to fruition. Can you help me or is there like a wiki advocate who can support me to do this right? I don't want to publish fluff, but i also don't want to see it shot down either. Thanks guys! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.67.170.77 (talk) 00:54, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Hello again, I see you have already commented on AFD nomination which is good to see. Just a note, make sure your comments relate to the deletion requirements for a webpage over at WP:WEB. It's great to see that you are contributing to Wikipedia and there is plenty of information at Help:Contents or you can simply ask another editor (like me!). Another editor has already commented at the AFD entry, and you can further discuss the page there. Thanks, Stickee (talk) 01:19, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Ray William Johnson

I am going to be posting this on multiple editor talk pages to get some discussion going. We have yet another section on the talk page requesting Ray William Johnson be added to the List of YouTube personalities. Something has to be done because people request he be added and don't give any references for the most part but someone tried to give references, but I checked them and they were not good ones. We don't need a new section everytime someone wants him added. We have umpteen sections requesting him be added. Again, something has to be done! Revision history of Public housing in Singapore

You reverting to the original document is misleading as the HDB contract is legally not a purchase contract. Words like tenant and lease are used instead of words like 'owner', 'title' or 'deed'. Legally speaking, a person leases a flat from the HDB for 99 years and based on the terminology of the contract that is a rental agreement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.126.15.27 (talk) 03:18, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

New Renaissance Florence International Film School

Hello, Stickee,

Florence Film School is registered in the US under the wrong address of Tuscan Film Commission at via San Galo 25, who have nothing to do with it. Moreover, the school is doing business in Italy, but is not registered in the Italian Chamber of Commerce and does not pay taxes. It is at the moment under the Italian Police investigation. You could contact Canadian, Russian and Mexican Embassies for confirmation details.

Please, add New Renaissance Florence International Film School to the list. I have done my research as well and have found nothing about this school's accreditation. There is none. Thank you.--88.39.41.138 (talk) 15:01, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

As stated on the talk page, reliable sources need to be supplied, especially to add an institution to such a list. Your word for it is simply not satisfactory in this case. Thanks, Stickee (talk) 10:09, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Also, I'm wondering something. I've heard you can't edit certain pages until you are "verified". How do I become verified? Randomgamer24 (talk) 22:41, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

Flux updates

Thanks for the updates to the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flux_%28software%29 page. There is one change you missed. I would appreciate it if you can make it.

Please delete from the 4th paragraph the two sentences:

"WorldView was also distributed on Microsoft's Windows 2000 and Office 2000 CDs as Microsoft VRML in VRML2C.EXE file, containing PLATINUM WorldView for Internet Explorer. Due to that inclusion, and due to common authorship, Tony Parisi's VRML/X3D line of software can be treated as directly related to default Microsoft's VRML software, as similarly Internet Explorer and FrontPage are default software for HTML in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office."

It is stretch and irrelevant to make the connection between WorldView and Flux.

Also can you change the heading "Fork" (which no longer talks about forking) to "Vivaty". This will put everything in context.

Also, the third reference has extra [ ] around the http making the reference look odd.

Thanks again. 129.6.162.93 (talk) 19:02, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

Source For Trevor Morgan Change in Bio

Yes I have a Credible source-Lisa Morgan, His Mother. I am his cousin and his mother and I run a Talent Management Agency Based in Chicago. I was asked to do the leg work to get this changed. The bio is correct all except the beginning, he was discovered in a shopping center in Chicago not by George Papadakis. If you could please change this that would be greatly appreciated not only by Him and His mother, but by me so I dont have to hear about it anymore!

Thanks In Advance, Ross Ruffino Editor\Co-Owner Management By Morgan rossruffino@mangementbymorgan.com www.managementbymorgan.com Rossruffino (talk) 20:13, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

As stated on the talk page, a reliable source need to be provided in order to add information to an article, especial biographies of living people. We cannot simply take someone's word for it, as they could be pretending to be accociated with the subject. The current description appears to be unsourced, so I can remove it if you like. Thanks, Stickee (talk) 03:24, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Collapsing to prevent discussion here

Please undo your blanking of content from that page.

Look at "Notanipokay" and his contributions. I am still working out precisely how things work here - took me calling for help just to figure out the reference tag structure - and I had no idea what he was talking about for "noticeboards" and "rfc" till I saw his post this morning. I wonder who he is really? —Preceding unsigned comment added by MadKingChucky (talkcontribs) 11:34, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

as i said on the talk page, you need to calm down. stickee is the editor who unblanked the section and i was the one who petitioned to have it unblanked. you're yelling at the wrong people. in fact, you shouldn't be yelling at anyone. we're just trying to return the page to the state it was in before all of the blanking last night. with everything settled, the hope is to have a civil discussion and reach a consensus. Hello, Stickee. You have new messages at Talk:Little Green Footballs.

Hi Stickee! I would like to point out that I have no horse in this race. I had never even heard of Little Green Footballs until I came across it last night while Huggling! Thus, I am not a regular editor of that page and my only concern is to prevent WP:BLP issues, something that has become of paramount importance here at Wikipedia. I posted my comments on the brouhaha with this edit. Thanks! — SpikeToronto 17:53, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Same here, I just stumbled accross the page because there was a semi protected edit request on the page. I haven't heard of LGF ever before and I won't be participating in the discussion. --Stickee (talk) 21:55, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
As an additional note, I thought I was removing that particular paragraph when I reverted the second time, but it so happens that I was actually removing another paragraph. Meh. --Stickee (talk) 21:59, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Ah! I see! I was afraid that if I intervened once more and took it out myself, I would get reported by the battling editor for 3RR so I just left my hands off it. But, User:GB fan came by and took it out. I think the article will be okay now. The last time I checked the talk page a consensus seemed to be emerging. Sorry if I seemed to be picking on you there. Thanks! — SpikeToronto 22:28, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Change In Trevor Morgan Bio

What I don't understand is who you're using as a credible source for this bio info. I looked at the sources and IMDB.com is one of the bio sources. Not once anywhere in the Bio on IMDB.com for Trevor does it say anything about George Papadakis. This man did not discover, these people the Papadakis' have been riding the kids coat-tails since he was 6 all because Papadakis took a few pictures of Trevor. I really think you should do a little research and find the Validity to the claim that he was found by Papadakis. I've seen multiple "Credible" sources for a bio on Trevor and not a single one mentions this guy finding him!Rossruffino (talk) 14:34, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

I never wrote the article you are referring to, I simply responded to an edit request you made which proposed unsourced changes to a biography of a living person. As you disagree that Popadakis did not find Morgan and there is no source supplied stating this, I have removed it from the article. If you can supply a source stating he was found in a shopping centre, it will be added to the article. Thanks, Stickee (talk) 22:03, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Tha Doggfather (1996-1997)

Since this change[1] deals with Feb-August 1996, whould you mind adding that change as the first sentence in the "Tha Doggfather (1996-1997)" section instead of as the last sentence. It may make more chrolological sense that way and has a lead in from the last sentence of the previous section "Doggystyle (1992–1995)". Thanks -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 13:52, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Wingardium leviosa

I submitted an alternate etymology for Wingardium leviosa. You ask for reliable sources. What are the reliable sources for the currently listed etymology? As far as I can see, there aren't any. It looks like plain speculation. JKR provides no explanation of the derivation of this spell in the books or anywhere else. My reliable source is my general knowledge of how post-classical proper names were rendered into medieval Latin. I happen to think my derivation is a lot more plausible than the tortured attempt to derive Wingardium into wing + arduus which is frankly ridiculous and betrays a lack of understanding of how Latin----even fake Latin as in the HP books---is put together.Mfisher452 (talk) 11:35, 14 November 2010 (UTC)mfisher452

The cell membrane is also known as plasma membrane. It is the outermost boundary of cell, however in most plant cells , it is covered by cell wall.It is composed mainly of proteins and lipids, about 60-80% proteins and 20-40% lipids. In addition , there is a small quantity of carbohydrate. Many biologists contributed to established the structural organization of cell membrane. In 1935, Danielli and Davson proposed that cell membrane is composed of three layers. It was further suggested by Harvey and Davson in 1938 that cell membrane is composed of lipid bilayer sand witched between two protein molecules while In 1972 S.J Singer and G.L Nicolson that it is not sand witched between two protein molecules, In fact, proteins are embedded in a lipid bilayer in a mosaic manner —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.153.18.92 (talk) 12:01, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
