Blocked for sockpuppetry

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Dobhran6ruadh. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

the claims of collusion with another page are false. Whilst as an editor I have made edits from Guernsey and London there is no truth behind the accusation that I also run or know who runs the account GSYRobot. I presume this is a guernsey account based on the acronym GSY. Considering this and both are contributions to a small film scene in Guernsey it is very much probable that we have at a time shared the same location. The fact both accounts are making edits to similar and connected pages is more likely to be due to the fact that both my account and this other account appear to focus on the guernsey film scene, which, yet again is small in scale- despite some big films/works, and consequently going to be concentrated. It does appear that GSYRobot has predominantly contributed edits relating to Bet Your bottom Dollar, of which I know significantly less. This blocking seems to target the Guernsey arts scene, which evidently both accounts are connected too, but beyond that connection and an inevitably shared location at times (considering it is a small island with few arts people who perhaps without knowing we might in fact know each other) there is not substantial evidence to block these accounts. In doing so two contributors to Guernsey film coverage on wikipedia would be removed and subsequently, the already deficient information on a significant area of globally impactful Guernsey culture will be harmfully limited or reduced — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theonetwoandthree (talk • contribs) 20:55, 14 February 2023 (UTC)

Decline reason:

After conferring with the checkuser admin that blocked this account, the evidence was clear that the two accounts were using the same computer accessing the same, stable IP address over the same time period. It seems unlikely that your story holds water here. Jayron32 18:06, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
