July 2008[edit]

Information.svg Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Untitled Dance Gavin Dance album. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. Uploading images[edit]

I noticed your recent additions to Appeal to Reason (album) and Life Is Not a Waiting Room, and thought you would be interested to know about the Wikipedia:Upload/Non-free album cover page. It is specifically for uploading cover art images. The older formatting you used for these covers may be challenged and removed by other users. Just a friendly heads up. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cover11111.jpg)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading Image:Cover11111.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:18, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Image source problem with Image:Do you believe in gosh Album Cover.JPG[edit]

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Do you believe in gosh Album Cover.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:10, 28 August 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:10, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Lannen fall[edit]

A tag has been placed on Lannen fall, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to a nonexistent page.

If you can fix this redirect to point to an existing Wikipedia page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you also fix the redirect. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Cam Barker[edit]

Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia by updating the statistics in the Cam Barker article. Unfortunately your recent edit(s) has been reverted. This is because the guidelines from the WikiProject on Ice Hockey state that season statistics may only be updated when the season has ended. This is for maintaining a high standard and accuracy on all hockey players articles on Wikipedia. We understand that your edit was in good faith and hope that you understand our objectives. If you have any questions, please visit us at the WikiProject on Ice Hockey's talk page. —Krm500 (Communicate!) 02:10, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Thefrayst.jpg)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading Image:Thefrayst.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. Image copyright problem with File:Iwunts.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Iwunts.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Image copyright problem with File:Chariot wars.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Chariot wars.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Proposed deletion of Straight to Video: The Remixes[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Straight to Video: The Remixes, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable EP of remixes of a song; has little or no media coverage of substance. Fails WP:ALBUMS.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion nomination of Besides, Nothing (B-Sides and Rarities, 2003-2009)[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Besides, Nothing (B-Sides and Rarities, 2003-2009) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. This Addiction[edit]

FYI, I've redirected This Addiction (Alkaline Trio song) to This Addiction. There's no evidence that the song is, in fact, the album's first single. I searched all of the band's official sites (including myspace) as well as the Epitaph website and a number of secondary sources, and nowhere could I find mention of the song being released as a single in any format or giving a release date for it. Given the lack of reliable sources for the claim of it being a single, I thought it premature to start an article on it at this time (as it doesn't yet pass WP:NSONGS). The link you provided to the German amazon.com [1] does not support the claim that it's a single, merely that they're offering the song for download. A digital download, available from only 1 retailer in only 1 market, doesn't constitute a single. Anyway, they're not even offering it for download: it says "Nicht verfügbar" which means "unavailable". I'm not sure what that artwork they have is; it certainly doesn't look like artwork for a single. It's not uncommon for retailers like amazon to have a teaser up for a track in advance of offering the album for sale, and that's likely what's happened here. Long story short, there just isn't any real evidence that this is the album's first single. If it does turn out to be, and if better supporting sources turn up, then I have no objection to the article being recreated. However, starting an article at this point is premature. Also, it should be at This Addiction (song) rather than This Addiction (Alkaline Trio song), per WP:DAB, as there's no other song article titled "This Addiction". --IllaZilla (talk) 18:40, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Manmanpromo.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Thanks for uploading File:Manmanpromo.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Closedmouth (talk) 08:43, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Lydiatimharmon.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lydiatimharmon.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 02:21, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Hello[edit]

Greetings Zeropunk16, Just wanted to let you know that I saw that you created the new article Paint it Golden (Lydia album)-- It's always nice to see users contributing to make Wikipedia better! Jipinghe (talk) 18:39, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. In Kaddisfly, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Portland (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Lydia2010live.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Lydia2010live.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ramaksoud2000 (talk) 20:41, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:Lydiamerrylittlexmas.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Lydiamerrylittlexmas.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Ankit Maity Talkcontribs 08:16, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Iwunts.jpg)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading File:Iwunts.jpg.

You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:15, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Lydiapikeroom2010.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lydiapikeroom2010.jpg, which you've sourced to http://www.flickr.com/photos/joegall/4888823650/.

You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:39, 19 August 2012 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Acoustics (Lydia EP)[edit]

Hello, Zeropunk16,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Acoustics (Lydia EP) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Acoustics (Lydia EP) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, -MJH (talk) 00:30, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

Better source request for File:PARARIOT22.JPG[edit]

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:05, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
