Uploading images

I noticed your recent additions to Appeal to Reason (album) and Life Is Not a Waiting Room, and thought you would be interested to know about the Wikipedia:Upload/Non-free album cover page. It is specifically for uploading cover art images. The older formatting you used for these covers may be challenged and removed by other users. Just a friendly heads up. Lannen fall

This Addiction

FYI, I've redirected This Addiction (Alkaline Trio song) to This Addiction. There's no evidence that the song is, in fact, the album's first single. I searched all of the band's official sites (including myspace) as well as the Epitaph website and a number of secondary sources, and nowhere could I find mention of the song being released as a single in any format or giving a release date for it. Given the lack of reliable sources for the claim of it being a single, I thought it premature to start an article on it at this time (as it doesn't yet pass WP:NSONGS). The link you provided to the German amazon.com [1] does not support the claim that it's a single, merely that they're offering the song for download. A digital download, available from only 1 retailer in only 1 market, doesn't constitute a single. Anyway, they're not even offering it for download: it says "Nicht verfügbar" which means "unavailable". I'm not sure what that artwork they have is; it certainly doesn't look like artwork for a single. It's not uncommon for retailers like amazon to have a teaser up for a track in advance of offering the album for sale, and that's likely what's happened here. Long story short, there just isn't any real evidence that this is the album's first single. If it does turn out to be, and if better supporting sources turn up, then I have no objection to the article being recreated. However, starting an article at this point is premature. Also, it should be at This Addiction (song) rather than This Addiction (Alkaline Trio song), per WP:DAB, as there's no other song article titled "This Addiction". --IllaZilla (talk) 18:40, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
