WLOP (1370 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Sports radio format. Licensed to Jesup, Georgia, United States, the station is currently owned by Jesup Broadcasting Corp. and features programming from Fox Sports Radio.[1] WLOP is Jesup's heritage station. Use of the term WLOP by Jesup/Wayne County natives can signify either WIFO-FM or WLOP. WLOP, meaning 1370-AM is usually referred to by longtime listeners as "The AM" or "The AM Side". This dates back to when both stations were simulcast for a large portion of the broadcast day, and how they were referred to on air. Few stations anywhere are known by everyone in a community as "the AM" like WLOP1370. Since the re-inception of separate formats in the mid 1990s, WLOP is Fox Sports Radio, AM-1370, or just 1370. WLOP is the original local Wayne County voice 24/7, as it continues its seventh decade of service as a southeast Georgia favorite.
