Or, if it was going to go into a tiebreaker (but didn't, because your vote obviated that), your candidate might have won the tiebreaker anyway. This consderation makes the "expected gain" only half as big, meaning that the paradox doubles in significance for someone wondering whether it is worth the effort to vote or not. undo
