Engine Soul

The technology of the Go-ongers is based on the Engine Soul (炎神ソウル, Enjin Sōru) which are chip-like items that have sentience and imbue power into the items that the Go-ongers employ. When not in use, they are kept in the Engine Soul Holster (炎神ソウルホルスター, Enjin Sōru Horusutā).[2]

Arsenal

The primary Go-ongers (Red, Blue, and Yellow) transform by use of the Henshin Cellphone Go-Phone (変身携帯ゴーフォン, Henshin Keitai Gōfon).[3] Go-onGreen and Go-onBlack use the Henshin Brace ShiftChanger (変身ブレスシフトチェンジャー, Henshin Buresu Shifutochenjā) to transform.[4] Both items make use of Change Souls (チェンジソウル, Chenji Sōru).

Each Go-onger has the Self Straightening MantanGun (セルフ変形竪マンタンガン, Serufu Henkeiju Mantangan) as a sidearm which resembles a gas pump dispenser and has both a Gun Mode (ガンモード, Gan Mōdo) and a Rod Mode (ロッドモード, Roddo Mōdo).[5] The primary Go-onger team has the Highway Buster (ハイウェイバスター, Haiwei Basutā) as their group weapon, consisting of Go-onRed's Road Sabre (ロードサーベル, Rōdo Sāberu), Go-onBlue's Courage Launcher (カレージランチャー, Karēji Ranchā), and Go-onYellow's Racing Bullet (レーシングバレット, Rēshingu Baretto).[6] Go-onGreen and Go-onBlack have the Junction Rifle (ジャンクションライフル, Jankushon Raifuru) which is comprised of Go-onGreen's Bridge Gun (ブリッジアックス, Burijji Akkusu) and Go-onBlack's Growl Laser (ガウルレーザー, Gauru Rēzā).[7]

Mecha

The Go-ongers' mecha consist of Engine Gattai Engine-Oh (炎神合体エンジンオー, Enjin Gattai Enjin'ō)[8] which is comprised of Engine Speadle (エンジンスピードル, Enjin Supīdoru, a hybrid between an eagle and a race car) piloted by Go-onRed[9], Engine Buson (エンジンバスオン, Enjin Basuon, a hybrid between a bison and a bus) piloted by Go-onBlue, and Engine Bear V (エンジンベアールV, Enjin Beāru Bui, a hybrid between a bear and an ATV) piloted by Go-onYellow.[10]. Go-onGreen pilots the Engine Balka (エンジンバルカ, Enjin Baruka, a hybrid between a shark and a motorcycle) which can combine with EngineOh to form EngineOh Balka (エンジンオーバルカ, Enjin'ō Baruka)[11]. Go-onBlack pilots the Engine Gunbard (エンジンガンバード, Enjin Ganbādo, a hybrid between a wolf and a police car) which can combine with EngineOh to form EngineOh Gunbard (エンジンオーガンバード, Enjin'ō Ganbādo)[12].
