Odder is a town in central Denmark, located in the Odder municipality in Jutland, just south of Aarhus. Odder is more or less a suburb today[citation needed] and has 10,667 inhabitants[citation needed] (2004). In the 1980s the town was the host of the biggest discothèque in Denmark, named Edelweiss.
The municipality is also a part of the East Jutland metropolitan area whit 1,2 mio inhabitants. [1].
In 2006 the mayor of Odder had his official mayor necklace stolen from his briefcase[citation needed].
