The discography of Lady Gaga, an American dance-pop recording artist, consists of two studio albums, one compilation album, two extended plays, 10 singles, three promotional singles and 11 music videos. Her debut album, The Fame (2008), topped the charts in Canada, Ireland, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, while also reaching number one on Billboard magazine's Dance/Electronic Albums chart in the United States. The album was certified multi-Platinum in several countries, produced five successful singles and has sold eight million copies worldwide. "Poker Face", one of the album's singles, went on to become the most-downloaded song in UK history.[1]

Gaga's second album, The Fame Monster, was released in late 2009 and reached the summit of the charts in Australia and New Zealand, and also topped Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums chart in the US, where it has sold over one million copies. The album produced singles with music videos which received much media attention. While the video for "Bad Romance" earned Gaga positive comparisons to Madonna and Michael Jackson,[2] the videos for "Telephone" and "Alejandro" were more controversial; the former video was accused of being "poison" to the minds of children[3] and the latter was criticized by the Catholic League as being blasphemous.[4] In 2010, Gaga released her first compilation, the remix album The Remix. The album reached the top ten in Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the UK and has sold 500,000 copies worldwide. In addition to her own songs, she has featured on Wale's "Chillin" and a remix of Beyoncé's "Video Phone". As of May 2010, Gaga has sold more than 40 million singles and 15 million albums worldwide.[5]
