The 2010 World Open snooker tournament will be held at the S.E.C.C., Glasgow between 18–26 September 2010.

Neil Robertson is the defending champion.

  • all players on the professional Main Tour
  • 10 qualifiers who advance through tournaments held by Riley's
  • 10 other amateurs who qualified through other Qualifying Tournaments at Independant Tournaments across the Country
  • 6 International Qualifiers
  • 2 Ladies Tour Players
  • 2 Youth Players:[2]

Draw

The first two rounds will take place between 21 and 23 August 2010 at the World Snooker Academy, Sheffield. Eleven selected round 3 matches will be held over until the start of the tournament in Glasgow, the rest will take place at the Academy on 24 August.[3][4]

All amatures and players ranked 96-65 enter at this stage

The top 32 players in the rankings enter the tournament at this stage

Round 4 (Last 32)

The draw for this round is scheduled to take place on 19 September with the matches to be played between 20 and 23 September.[14]

The draw for this round is scheduled to take place at 7 pm on 22 September with the matches to be played between 23 and 24 September.

Quarter Finals

The draw for this round is scheduled to take place at 7 pm on 24 September with the matches to be played the next day.

Semi Finals

The draw for this round is scheduled to take place on 25 September with the matches to be played in the afternoon of the next day.

The final will take place at 8 pm on 26 September 2010.
