== Reverting your acceptance of [[Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/British Basketball Association]] ==

I have reverted your acceptance of [[Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/British Basketball Association]] for multiple reasons. The previous version of this article was deleted at AFD, and this draft is substantially similar. That's alleviated partially by the fact that it now actually has reliable sources, but the text of the draft remains unduly promotional, and it is simply not ready to be in the mainspace. Arguably it could be deleted as [[WP:CSD#G11|blatant advertising]] if made into an article. [[User:Someguy1221|Someguy1221]] ([[User talk:Someguy1221|talk]]) 03:02, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Welcome

Hello, Coolboygcp, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page V4 engine have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Biker Biker (talk) 09:47, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Porsche Macan, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Imaging instructions

To use a picture on Wikipedia, we need permission from whoever owns it.

  • If it is your OWN picture - then you can just upload it yourself, at "Commons", saying "It is entirely my own work" - at http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Upload .
  • If it is NOT YOURS, then the owner can give permission in two ways;
A) They could put it on a website (flickr, or their own site) with an appropriate licence, such as "Public Domain" or "Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike" (that is an option in flickr)
B) They could email us permission. You could ask them to do that, by sending them an email saying something like:
"Hi, I've written a page on Wikipedia, and I'd really like to add a picture - but as Wikipedia is FREE, we can only use freely-licenced pictures. If you have any which you can give permission for, please send me an email back with the text below, and the picture(s) attached."
-Then add a copy of this: http://enwp.org/user:chzz/help/myboilerplate (having filled the form out)
-And send the email (attached picture file + completed form) to: permissions-commons@wikimedia.org

If any of your questions about how to insert images into an article aren't answered in these instructions, please refer to Help:Files and to Help:Contents/Images and media for a master-listing of all pertinent image-use links.
Hope this helps, Shearonink (talk) 21:03, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Images deleted

Coolboygcp, I deleted the images you uploaded because they were so clearly not going to be hosted on Wikipedia. Images taken from commercial websites, of objects (like cars) that exist fail the first criteria of the non-free content criteria. Cars can always have free images taken of them, and commercial images are often for-sale-for-editorial-use and use of the images also fails the second non-free criteria.

Unfortunately the non-free image policy is no intuitive and the image policy here is very different to that on other websites. - Peripitus (Talk) 22:27, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Range Rover

Thank you for your recent edits to Range Rover. Be aware that multiple empty lines may not cause the text and pictures to line the same way on every reader's browser. Some people have narrow screen and some people have wide screens. You can simulate this by un-maximising your browser window (clicking the double box icon in the top right corner for Windows) and then stretching the right hand window border. Instead, using {{clear}} makes sure that the left and right hand sides of a page are aligned. Cheers.  Stepho  talk  10:35, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Oh, thank you for telling me that. I didn't know about that, and I appreciate your help. Thanks. Coolboygcp (talk) 10:48, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Your addition to Land Rover DC100 has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Your wholesale copy/paste of text from the gizmag article has been reverted. Please do not do this again. Ask if you don't understand anything about editing Wikipedia, there are lots of people around to help an editor who is willing to learn from his/her mistakes. Biker Biker (talk) 05:46, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Jaguar Cars. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Per WP:CRYSTAL, do not add forward-looking content without proper reliable sources Biker Biker (talk) 19:57, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

BikerBiker, can't you give bloke some time to add the citations! ````

A tag has been placed on Sweetie Pie's requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Eeekster (talk) 23:43, 6 August 2012 (UTC)

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Range Rover (L405). This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Biker Biker (talk) 20:06, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Range Rover (L405), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You need to give proper sources, not your own interpretation or invention. Biker Biker (talk) 21:50, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Convertible Crossover has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No references given to substantiate that this is an actual class of vehicle. As it stands right now it is pure original research.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Biker Biker (talk) 21:39, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

Nomination of Convertible Crossover for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Convertible Crossover is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Convertible Crossover until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Biker Biker (talk) 08:13, 27 August 2012 (UTC)

The article Nesquik (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Useless; this is a list of products using a single brand name, about which we already have an article. There is no ambiguity in the titles.

Your contributed article, Frosty Paws

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Frosty Paws. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Nestlé_Purina_PetCare#Brands. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Nestlé_Purina_PetCare#Brands – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Ramaksoud2000 (Talk to me) 23:23, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
