Stop
JB, I'm afraid I have to butt in before things get any worse. Your edits to John Entwistle have, unfortunately, degraded the quality to the reader. The article is on my list to clear up (principally by Dave Marsh's book, though that only goes up to 1982), but I'm not really inclined to touch it while you're editing it. Key problems are citing YouTube sources, which are more often than not copyright violations. If you're going to talk about somebody playing Nazis as a child, particularly when it really isn't relevant to their notability, you need to cite a much better source. Elsewhere, many articles you created are being nominated for deletion or even speedy deleted, and when challenged on this, you get upset and take it personally. This isn't good.

My advice - get a mentor, quick. Read Wikipedia:Mentorship and Area carefully, and pick a mentor who can explain to you key Wikipedia policies, particularly verifiability. I've seen many young editors in your situation, and I can say with some degree of past experience that if you carry on without getting a mentor, you're likely to be hauled up to the administrator's noticeboard and either topic banned or blocked. In particular, making personal attacks like this are a sure-fire way to get yourself blocked. So I'd like to do something pragmatic about that before things deteriorate.

You're welcome to participate in Wikipedia, and it's nice to have another Who expert around - but you really need to bone up on Wikipedia policies, and fast. I'm afraid your edits to this article were again problematic.

 • You should only wikilink to a subject once, on first mention. Subsequent uses of a proper name should refer to them by last name only. See WP:LASTNAME.
 • You must take care not to synthesize information to generate original research. You claimed that Moon was invited to join the Jeff Beck Group, which is not cited in either Marsh or Fletcher, two of the best book sources used to create this article.
 • You have again not cited Moon's presence on other Entwistle's solo albums. When you edit a page on Wikipedia, the text clearly reads "Encyclopedia content must be verifiable." ie: attributed to a reliable source. Any editor may challenge unverifiable information and remove it. Ask yourself this question - if it's that well known, how come nobody else picked up on it?

Your talk page here has five warnings that you have violated copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright infringement very seriously, and you are at risk of being blocked from editing. Can I recommend you find a mentorship program? You can find help at Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user/Adoptee's Area, where there are other editors that can give you good advice and explain the best way to proceed.

I'm sorry to come down harsh on this, but good articles need to remain at a particular editorial standard, so editors modifying them should do so with care. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 08:17, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 5

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited John Entwistle, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bio (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Notability (songs)

Hi! I've noticed that you created the article Empty Glass (song). I appreciate your devotion to The Who, and your willingness to write new articles for Wikipedia. But, you see: Wikipedia have some rules, and You cannot write article about anything You think is notable. There are rules that define what is notable enough to be in Wikipedia. I've noticed that you are complaining on your user page that "most the stuff i write is deleted". Maybe the reason for deleting is that you have not read Wikipedia policies regarding notability. The article you written is completely opposed to the policies given here: WP:NSONG. I think you should read it carefully, in order for you to be able to contribute to Wikipedia more usefully. I am not going to nominate the article for deletion, because I think you need some time to bring the article closer to the policies, but if you do not do it, somebody will certainly delete it. Vanjagenije (talk) 22:01, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please, it's not about how I like the article to look like, it's about following the rules. If you write an article, than you are the one who should follow the rules. I just wanted to help you, in order for your work to be more appreciated. And, the kind of music I listen is really not relevant for this discussion.
