Blue Hall was promoted to the prep area, and changes were made to the hook after promotion.

Most of my articles relate to history of many years ago and sometimes hundreds of years ago. The secret of getting a quality article for potential DYK is to work it out in a sandbox draft first. Pretend it is an article and anticipate all the potential objections and problems = then solve them BEFORE anybody sees them. Work it all out ahead of time BEFORE you make the article live. It generally takes me 2 -4 weeks of preparation to work out articles like these above, done in sandbox drafts. Get all the references, sources, and newspaper clippings ahead of time. To get an idea what kind of research preparation I do, check out the videos below my picture on my User Page. I do a lot of work up front so there will be little problems when the article becomes live. As you will notice my main research is hard cover books through the I.L.L. system. My second best resource is Internet Public Library. The next best source for good references are the Library of Congress and the Bodleian Library. Notice I have an inline reference (if not 2-3) per sentence on my articles. Some get very high views when they become DYKs, like this one, and then are entered into the DYK Hall of Fame STATS. My plague doctor hook received over 44,000 views.

The T-shirt I am wearing Wikipedia sent me. The video I talk about doing 5 articles on reinforced concrete as you know turned out to be a 6-in-1 DYK = six articles in the same hook line.
