Anurag Kulkarni is an Indian playback singer from Hyderabad,[1] who recently[when?] made his debut in Telugu Film Industry. He hails from Basara of Nirmal district but settled in Hyderabad.His father is a Marathi community and mother is Telugu family from Kamareddy.He got into fame after winning first prize in Idea Super Singer Season 8 (2015) which is a popular show in MAA TV.

Personal life

He started learning Hindustani classical music with late Sri. Kakunoori jangaiah ji, a renowned Hindustani vocalist and guru in Hyderabad. He learnt for over 3 years where he was introduced to kirana gharana style of singing.

His Journey

On 24 January 2015, he won the biggest reality show in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states called Idea Super Singer Season 8. The chief judges for this show were shri M. M. Keeravani and Padma Shri K. S. Chitra.[2] The show also featured many telugu cinema musicians as guest judges.

After completing B.Tech in Computer Science from Vignan VITAE, Hyderabad, he worked for a software multinational company for six months. He left the job in October 2015 to pursue his interest in music.[citation needed]
Currently[when?] he is a playback singer in Telugu Film Industry.
