The intro and first few paragraphs are fine. In fact, they sound like an Urdu biography of the author. But later sections should be tagged for improvement. At this stage of development of the article, not agreed. See Shakespeare#List_of_works. Later on when article is better developed the list can be branched off. As of now, it is probably incomplete and is certainly unreferenced. Also, the long list of non-notable short stories needs to be thinned out and only that which is meaningful left in. An IP editor tried to add "updesh" 1917. This was reverted by another editor as it messed up the formatting of a table. I'm guessing it's a WP:GF edit but have no idea of the correct place in the article for this. --Marc Kupper|talk 07:47, 11 April 2013 (UTC)

Name

No, the real name of the author is Dhanpat Rai, while is popular name is Premchand. Munshi is commonly misunderstood to be his honorific, but as is explained here, it is not the case. Further, many people consider Premchand's caste identity as being the reason why Munshi title is used for him. Therefore, in the article, I have deleted the mention of Munshi because futher discussion is required. Seomelono (talk) 08:49, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
