Afro isn't a texture it's a style. As an African hairstylists I'm beyond offended by this. 96.245.213.132 (talk) 17:17, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

:I think this article could do with some analysis and potential revision in relation to WP:CSB, particularly from a perspective outside of North America. In terms of nomenclature specifically, if there is a problem with the word "kinky" hair, then that should be mentioned. Right now, the article directly mentions the Andre Walker Hair Typing System, but when referring to this type of hair, doesn't use the related name of the classification, and misleadingly implies "afro-texture hair" is the word used in that classification. The sentence "English adjectives such as "woolly", "kinky", "nappy", or "spiraled" have been used[year needed] to describe natural afro-textured hair." also implies that "afro-textured" is the 'natural' or correct word, without offering any context or reference. Calling African hair afro-texture is the most racist thing to call African hair.

Afro isn't a texture it's a style. As an African hairstylists I'm beyond offended by this. 96.245.213.132 (talk) 17:17, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Overload of images

Please folks. When you're formatting an article, spare a thought for mobile users. From memory, something like 60% or more of readers are mobile. If you need to check, you can use developer tools on Chrome and switch to mobile viewer.

I'm sure this looks nice on your wide screen monitor. For mobile users, what you get is not a neat gallery; you get a vertical stack of images that's like a foot long and takes up the entire width of the screen. I don't care which ones, but this article needs easily 85% of the images removed. GMGtalk 12:20, 3 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
