Hi,
Hi,

I removed discogs as biographical sources. In some places in the text, Discogs was used only as a source of records and bands in which the musicians played and play, and as a source of labels [[User:MKutera74|MKutera74]] ([[User talk:MKutera74|talk]]) 19:36, 17 December 2023 (UTC)

Approve my biography and move to main Article. Thank You. BootNet (talk) 12:55, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

wish you were fair to me :)

I don't know after giving all references now you nominated for deletation:( SaneFlint (talk) 18:40, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's nothing personal, the acceptance was borderline, the community will decide whether to keep the article or not, you are free to continue editing, adding content and sources. Theroadislong (talk) 19:02, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't expecting this especially from you:)
completely unexpected. having all information but getting this in return Is a what I can get only) my bad. things in urdu and Sindhi aren't easier for editor's to understand:) thank you I appreciate this one. World is not enough kind SaneFlint (talk) 19:31, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SaneFlint Please do not take this personally. The hardest thing in Wikipedia is to create an article that meets every single requirement. I confirm that it was a borderline acceptance. I feel it is on the correct side of the border. Theroadislong has a different view. That they and I disagree is fine. That you and they disagree is fine. Disagreement makes us better when we handle it well.
What happens now is that the discussion will run and a consensus will be formed from the policy based arguments presented in the discussion. In the meantime, please find excellent references to show that the subject passes WP:BIO. Do not do it im desperation. Do it simply and with accuracy. Take your time together it right, but do not take too much time.
Remember, please, that we are all colleagues, perhaps especially when we disagree. How we handle disagreement shows the people we are inside. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 20:14, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Timtrent Question number 1
where I will need to show those references? in a discussion form?
question number 2.
it should be short answer or I should also tell them the reason of submitting it for over 12 times or 10. as I was new here and I thought after submitting it I can calmly make edits while it will be under review thats why I wasted time to submit for over 10 times or even more dozens in a day. my English is second language that's why I had difficulty with changing its praising type tone. and every source I gave were legit which contains real information SaneFlint (talk) 20:22, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@SaneFlint I wil reply im your talk page. We should not hijack this one by accident. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 20:31, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:30, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I feel really sorry for them. I agree with your AFD nomination. I think it will help decide once and for all, but the editor is suffering stresses, probably of their own making, by misunderstanding Wikipedia. If appropriate, I wonder if you would also offer them kind guidance. While I can always be mistaken, I see them as a genuine hearted soul, in a language which is not their first tongue, in an environment which, like so many before them, they thought was pleasant and kind. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 12:27, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Draft: POWER FOR ALL ALLIANCE sources

Hi, is it fine to use german sources for the english entry as there are sadly nearly no second sources available in english. Thank you very much and best regards! Stuttgarter 23 (talk) 09:23, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes German sources are absolutely fine. Theroadislong (talk) 09:28, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

FYI

These couple of Bangla topics are getting a bit out of control. I've opened an SPI, but even without it they look to be heading for a block fairly soon. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:45, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

hi I have removed unnecessary stuffs

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sayyid?wprov=sfla1

it has huge long lists which made it very opposite to wikipedia page as it should be SaneFlint (talk) 15:46, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed them* SaneFlint (talk) 15:47, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Declined Draft

Hey! I think my draft has been rejected 3 times 😬 I don’t mind though

Everyone just quotes the wikipedia criteria for an article, though I actually might need some help on what to edit.

I’m still a newbie here so it my second try at creating a totally random article. It would help to get some more feedback on what to change, Thanks! Turtlepro22 (talk) 21:15, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You need to find reliable, independent sources that discuss the college Draft:Lighthouse Christian College Cranbourne in significant detail. Theroadislong (talk) 21:24, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Theroadislong I’ve found some sources, if you happen to review it, let me know if I need to work on it more, thanks in advance! Turtlepro22 (talk) 03:32, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have a question

can I publish an historical picture of a letter which I have obtained from some press members. which has significant value and importance historically. I don't know if it will be acceptable for wk commons? SaneFlint (talk) 10:16, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Probably not but you can ask at the commons help desk here [1]. Theroadislong (talk) 10:19, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
where I can see commons help desk means the tea house ? SaneFlint (talk) 10:20, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
thank you got it SaneFlint (talk) 10:21, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Bruce Ryan

Hello - I have removed the links to which you objected. Thank you, Sylvan1971 (talk) 16:21, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft Draft:Bruce Ryan (production designer) was rejected, so no point in editing it further as it won't be reviewed again. Theroadislong (talk) 16:31, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Rejection of Afc Submission for David Catalon

Hello,

Hope you are doing great. You just reviewed an article, David Catalon, in Afc category. I reviewed all the links and almost every link is as per the Wikipedia guidelines. The sources are independent, reliable, and secondary. Also, they do not simply mention the subject once or twice but discuss his work in detail independently.

Could you please specify which thing is missing from here? Could you specify any source here as an example? I think I might be missing something. Since, not all 12 sources can be unreliable, unworthy, and primary. As per your comment I have removed two awards, and changed the line to "The collection, named "Ushuaïa by Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent David Catalán," integrates practical elements maintaining a focus on sustainability" Is it fine now? Please guide. Gettingreal2023 (talk) 11:41, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Annamalai(s)

Hi, saw your comment on Talk:K. Annamalai (politician), and just wanted to mention that there are two different people, one is an MP and passes NPOL, the other is this "former IPS officer and an Indian politician" who seems to be desperate to get a Wikipedia article published, but hasn't so far been shown to be notable: see eg. Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/RAJAGOPALAN SRINIVASAN/Archive and Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/PavanKishoreG/Archive. It's got to a point where if I see 'Annamalai', I assume there's something dodgy going on! -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:14, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest on page for Jeffrey B. Perry

Hello. You just moments ago flagged this draft I have been working on as a 'conflict of interest' claiming I have a 'close connection' with the subject... Very curious how you came to this conclusion and what grounds you have to even claim this without any sources at all. I have no connection with the subject please remove this spurious claim. 2601:86:103:7410:8CA:A7EA:7A28:E48D (talk) 18:30, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

hi the reference is from Urdu Wikipedia

it's from 1960s, a news paper or book page reference Monthly Sharia Sukkur :biography number, page : 414) I was able to get this reference as its in urdu and it was posted 7 to 8 years ago on a urdu Wikipedia page SaneFlint (talk) 21:15, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Merely copying the incomplete reference from The Urdu Wikipedia simply won't suffice, either find and verify the correct reference or remove the content. Theroadislong (talk) 21:18, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
can you see this screenshot just pointing out same reference

translated here🙂 SaneFlint (talk) 21:24, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have verified same reference, thats why I said this :) unfortunately many things can't be found in English this is very bad but what I can do 🙂 I'm trying my best to explain :) SaneFlint (talk) 21:28, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
if you're not satisfied with it let me know I will delete the quote it least I tried my best to explain 🙂 ill wait for your approval or disapproval. please let me know SaneFlint (talk) 21:32, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I can see you are trying but it all seems such desperately poor quality, the sources shouldn't be this hard to find or access if the subject is actually notable. Theroadislong (talk) 21:34, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
subject is notable but things aren't easily found in English here everything was mostly done in urdu and Sindhi that's a huge issue but now we are getting better with it as more and more are getting closer to English than to other languages, in old times they were also relying on Islamic hijri calender not like as we do now 🙂 SaneFlint (talk) 21:43, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
our media things and news papers things can't compete with western news papers and outlets, that's a huge gape hopefully in the coming future we will be able to follow same way, that's why I joined English Wikipedia only to expand the community over English as we people Sindh aren't really relying much on Sindhi or Urdu languages but English which seems clear path as well for people to be open minded SaneFlint (talk) 21:44, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sayyid Nidawi quote was found easily with a best quality in yad e Raftagan, while Sanaullah Amritsari quote was printed in 1960s, imagine finding references of 1960 in English language isn't easy but all other information are here available to us only in Sindhi and Urdu. I have couple books with me as well they mention every thing about the subject. you know Capricorns never give up and I feel it's my first subject after it's success ill be able to expend more better with various topics :) without you and other guys I wouldn't really get better thanks to you and other fellow mates I'm on this position. I have learnt alot 🤗 SaneFlint (talk) 21:49, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
now tell me last thing I don't wanna disturb you much. are you satisfied with the quote or I can go ahead to remove it I would love to follow what our fellow mates says! SaneFlint (talk) 21:50, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have added new link[ next to the quote]where quote with Urdu ref is mentioned
https://usvah.org/2013/12/15/sindh-men-rashdi-khandan-ka-khandani-o-tareekhi-pas-manzar-or-un-ki-deeni-khidmat-ka-jaiza/
https://ibb.co/5jdBLhX ss
also on last in page there are literally 10 reference this website is genuine/ reliable
hope I did correct 🙂 SaneFlint (talk) 22:13, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Grae Cleugh

Hi I just finished my tea and cjhecked a page I was working on draft:Grae Cleugh which seems to have attracted a bit of unwanted attention.

It has been nominated for speedy deletion, contested by myself and other users.

Can you please remove the speedy delete template as no evidence to support the deletion was provided. 86.135.202.183 (talk) 21:55, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That can only be removed by an admin and I see no reason why they would do that, the speedy deletion tag was appropriately applied. Theroadislong (talk) 21:57, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

need a guidance for my biography

hi, Theroadislong, we are having many many articles sources and press releases for the support of this biography and i have provide Times of India as it is a biggest news paper in India and this press releases are connect to biography i am a bit confuse please guide me

if you put Iqbal Memon Officer in google you will get all the press releases and many articles sources and blog written by many bloggers and editors so its please guide me Aimjfindia786 (talk) 15:03, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

many of the articles sources and press releases are in urdu and gujrati language will it be consider by Wikipedia Aimjfindia786 (talk) 15:14, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Mr Iqbal Memon Officer has same reputation, same work similar story in India as Abdul Sattar Edhi use to have in Pakistan Aimjfindia786 (talk) 15:29, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As before press releases are NOT independent sources and The Times of India is NOT a reliable source, neither are blogs. Theroadislong (talk) 17:04, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, Theroadislong, but I'm not sure why you accepted this; I know you as a diligent reviewer. Have a look at the history, if only to see which material was removed by three or four different editors, and why--the sourcing is just particularly bad. For instance, a self-published book had an Amazon link to the book, an Amazon link to the co-author, and a review in a fanzine; and another self-published book was "verified" by an Kirkus Indie link--which are paid reviews. Please consider whether the editor's latest edit, which restored poorly sourced promotional material and removed a COI template (for the third time, I believe), should be reverted and the editor warned or partially blocked for promotional editing. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 16:24, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

To be accepted at WP:AFC it only needs to have a 50 50 chance of survival at WP:AFD, feel free to take it there, it is not a well sourced article and we all have errors of judgement sometimes. Theroadislong (talk) 17:58, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the draft:Mohamed Aarab

Hello Theroadislong I added reliable Arabic sources because there are no sources in English. You can try to translate the sources. I also worked on improving the article several times, as your colleague pointed out before, to add sources to paragraphs and I added them, but you always refuse. As I see, there are several pages that do not have sufficient and inconsistent sources that have been approved. I hope to reconsider or try to accept them to help other users improve them. Thank you. Chamosuhdod (talk) 19:16, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sources do not have to be in English but you do need to show how they pass the notability criteria. Theroadislong (talk) 19:19, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I tried my best to explain that. I added some of his musical collaborations, and I added a discography that is not complete, but I added some of his productions, and I tried to format the text in a way that meets Wikipedia’s requirements. You can read the article again and reconsider.Thank you for your response and explanation, have a good day Chamosuhdod (talk) 19:24, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Draft: Miguel and the Living Dead

Hi,

i removed discogs as biographical sources. In some places in the text, Discogs was used only as a source of records and bands in which the musicians played and play, and as a source of labels MKutera74 (talk) 19:36, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
