The season 1957-58 of the European Cup football club tournament was won by Real Madrid in an exciting extra time final victory against AC Milan and were European champions for a third time. However this season is forever marked with the Air disaster in Munich when Manchester United was on their way home after a 3-3 draw in the second leg quarter-final with FK Red Star.
