Misc discussions

If this has nothing to do with Misc. Discussion, feel free to delete it. Um... I'm sort of wondering what happened to the future games section of the article? It just disappeared all of a sudden...

"The article needs a lot of improvement. What's with the Vel and Jack? Stop giving own opinions. Put in facts. And why is it only AP has characters while Aveyond doesn't?"

"Telling things which actually happen at the end of the game is not good."

That's exactly what people do when talking about the story of games. You can't just go deleting the ending of a story on Wikipedia when the point of the page was to summarize the events. If it's a spoiler, mark it with spoiler tags, but don't go removing parts of the entry which are perfectly valid.

Quotes belong under WikiQuotes, rather than deleted outright as well. This game has quite the fanbase.

If the piece winds up having nothing which could serve as a spoiler it becomes little more than a fluffy advertisement, and then it'll get deleted.

I'll also point out again that the game is notable for having won several awards as evident from a google search and on the Amaranthia website. I'm not a major fan either way myself, but it's rather prominent in the RPG Maker community and turning a profit. Scribblette 21:27, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aveyond06 - 3/10/07

I think this article should be named "Amaranth Games". Reasons :

-All the games are in the same topic. That would have named this article "Aveyond Series", but the fact that the Dark Prince I and II are also part of the Aveyond world is good enough to not put this title.

OR you also put the Dark Prince in this topic (once it's released of course), and in this case it's OK for "Aveyond Series"

Also I deleted some parts which spoil the fun of Ahrimans Prophecy. Telling things which actually happen at the end of the game is not good. You have played Aveyond, but that doesn't mean you've already played Ahriman's Prophecy.

I deleted the 'speculation' part : actually again there's nothing but fanfics and forum chats to proof that, and as the Dark Priest was killed by Talia I see no reason he could be raised.

I also deleted some useless stuff about Talia who never got married that is wrong.

I deleted some other useless things, sich as an hypothetical link between the elements of Time and Dream

I won't be long

I know why the article is going to be deleted. I'd like to say to the newbies of Amaranthia that :

1 - there's NOTHING but fanfictions about the romance Rhen + Lars

2 - The story of Aveyond II is totally unknown

So don't post anything about that

And also I deleted some 'yup', 'huh'... Wikipedia is an ENCYCLOPEDIA.

UNderstood?

-Addie

Ok I decided to contest the proposed deletion because the article does have reliable sources - they are either listed as sources at the bottom of the article or the info comes directly from the game. I've also deleted the "Quotes" section because I felt it just took up lots of space without actually being useful. It's interesting, yes, but does it tell us anything new? No. Also, could someone fix the pictures? For one, they should be shrunk down, and two, they should be integrated into the article to make it more organized. I would do it myself but I don't know how... Ae-chan 04:47, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tactical RPGs...Nah

Hi there, I saw that the games were classed as TPRG. It's wrong. If Grimms Hatchery IS a TPG, Aveyond and Ahriman's Prophecy are not. 33% doesn't make the majority. It's not mainly TRPGs.

(The Battle for Wesnoth is for instance a good exemple of a TRPG)

About the spoiler thing, well telling things from AP in Aveyond is not OK. Especially when it's not explicit in AV and that it hapens really late in AP. Period.

And as I am truly high-thinking of me I don't think you are right. Period. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Aveyond06 (talkcontribs) 21:48, August 23, 2007 (UTC).

Aveyond 2 Release, Aveyond 1 Work - DO NOT EDIT

I am now rewriting the entire article. I just can not stand preteens, and this is an encyclopedia, not a The Sunish magasine.

Things I will be improving :

  • Removal of speculations (e.g. when it is told that Talia and Alicia can marry Devin and it gives birth to either Rhen or Dameon)
  • Removal of Aveyond 1 Gameplay (useless)
  • Removal of all informal terms (can't, shan't, aren't)
  • Correction of tenses (all present)
  • Adding of a AV1 character part
  • Adding of more references

Also I ask everybody not to edit anything about Aveyond2 until the release. No speculations, noobish preteens.

Grimm's Hatchery however can still be edited.

Moved from article:

Please note that this article should be finished in about 24 hours. Do not remove this template until Oct 19, 21:00 GMT. Only Aveyond 1 and Ahriman's Prophecy articles are not to be edited. -Aveyond06'

Fair use rationale for Image:Grimmshatchery.jpg

Image:Grimmshatchery.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
