Moving pages

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Lorain County Metroparks a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Removal of notable alumni sections on NFL team pages

"Ctrl-click"

I'm not sure how that happens. It might be that certain sidebar shortcuts (such as the buttons above and below the edit boxes) will simulate button actions, and (I think) every keyboard action is identified by a name in the operating system, and somewhere along the road, this happens. Bonnyrigg White Eagles

Hi mate. Just wondering why you removed the sections of notable former players and managers from the article. Most if not football club articles have a section like that and all of the players mentioned I believe would fall under the notable persons criteria as well as being sourced adequately on their individual pages. Hi there. The edits you're talking about are an extension of my work on the pages of the various American football teams, where the "notable players" sections were also very common. There are several reasons that these sections come down:

• they are arbitrary lists with no objective criteria for inclusion, essentially a list of Wikipedia editors' favorite players;
• they are unsourced; and
• they constitute original research, as players are included because editors — not reliable sources —find them notable.

In these cases, the criteria for being included as a "notable player" is different from the notability criteria that would allow a player to have his own article. Playing at the professional level is typically enough to warrant a BLP, but that can't be the standard for "notable player" on a team's page because every player in the team's history would then be included. That leaves the reader with a list that is overwhelming and completely uninformative. Instead, we need to narrow the list down to present players whose careers with the team were notable in their own right.

For a good example of how the "notable player" lists can be managed, see the Baltimore Ravens or New England Patriots pages, which have several categories of players listed as notable, but with specific criteria that is independent of WP editors' judgment. — Bdb484 (talk) 03:57, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Beyond being the consensus version, the previous version -- as I mentioned in the edit summary -- had additional wikilinking, links to the correct pages instead of redirects, and used reliable sources instead of Futon Critic's press releases. Additionally, your revert restored minor grammar errors. Hello! So i see that you removed some info i added on Megan Joy's wikipedia page. Although it was all true, i forgot to add them damn references as proof as you said there wasn't enough! crap! so if you don't mind, imma add them back and try to put as much references as i can find as proof. :D Like from trusted blogs like mjsbigblog.com and idolstalker.com and such

Unfortunately though a screenshot IS NOT CONSIDERED PROOF for megan's youtube audition video reaching 1 million views. D: But i don't know why though! What a bummer! D:< I will try to find another reference hopefully.
