Template:Infobox Indian jurisdiction Mecheri is a panchayat town in Salem district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.Parakkallur(on the way to salem),(M) Kalipatti,pukkampatti,Sengaatur are the small villages near Mecheri. Mecheri has a good traditional values. Bhathrakaliamman temple located in mecheri. Schools & College: Government Boys Higher Sec. School, Government Girls Higher Sec. School, Government Elementary School, Raghavendra Matriculation, another 2 Matriculations and Very nearly Kaaveri Polytechnic & Engineering college are located. There is a Cinema Theatre available in mecheri named Laavanya Theatre. Mecheri has a good cricket team Mecheri Cricket club since 1996 Mecheri is located nearly to Salem (Its about 32 km) and Mettur (its about 19 km). "Overall mecheri is such nice and calm place to live"

From Mecheri to Salem there are various small towns and villages in between from where lots of boys and girls used to come to Mecheri Schools which are located at the mid of the town. Boy's School which has it's Distinguished fame for producing N number of Doctors,Engineers,Lawyers with wondering skill sets.


INDIRADHANUSU AIYKULU

In Mecheri, CHAMRAJPET serves as the best residential area for the families, students and bachelors those who work in nearby industries. This area is known for production of pure Handloom Silk Sarees and it serves as a leading manufacturing arena for most of the leading silk giants of South India. In this area of economic importance, there are many youth associations are there in the town dedicated to the social work. One of such youth association is "INDIRADHANUSU AIYKULU". It consists of 21 members, implementing many social welfare schemes in the town.
