Production
Originally titled Varudu, the film being directed by Trivikram has been renamed Mahesh Khaleja, with Khiladi being another option that was finally not chosen. According to sources, the film has got this new title after director Trivikram made some changes in the script. After working for almost 8 months, Sunil Patel was replaced by Yash Bhatt attributing to the delays caused by former.[1]. Most of the film is done except a song which is scheduled to be shot on September 12, 2010. The shooting was paused for awhile due to some illness for Mahesh. But, now the shooting has been resumed and the producer Singanamala Ramesh is planning to release the film on october 2nd week. The title of the movie has been changed to Mahesh Khaaleja due to some copyright issues filed by a producer against Singanamala Rameshbabu[2]. The film has been mostly shot in Rajasthan and in Pune.
