Talkback tags are unnecessary; when I post on a page, I watch it, so you can respond either there or here.

Re: What on earth are you doing?

I could ask that myself, sorry about that! I misclicked when I was viewing my contributions! :( --Addihockey10 22:00, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tuscarora?

A robot program griping about alleged copyright violation in a non-existent article? Has someone managed to obtain a copyright on the empty set now? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots22:20, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fan page

Just nuked Half shadow: contents were "8". Looks like you have a fan :) Airplaneman 22:59, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Communist POV

I took the liberty of referring that IP, the Augusto Pinochet fan, to the vandal blockers after I saw you had again reverted their edit. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 01:46, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

hist rollback

I went to click hist in my watchlist and the screen jerked with the mouse over rollback as I clicked. There's no confirmation "Are you sure" with rollback. Sorry. Slightsmile (talk) 01:59, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That would be 109. You caught my attention last summer when you were making puns with TT. Slightsmile (talk) 02:11, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No this is my first account. Never edited before as an IP nor a user. No sock here, check my contribs - learning curve since February. I was surprised to get rollback today, nice recognition. If I remember right it was Phantomsteve who gave me this, Watcher last March. Slightsmile (talk) 02:29, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't get it. I was here since February. How is it unusual I would notice things going on during the summer? Slightsmile (talk) 02:37, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion converted to PROD: GCube

Hello HalfShadow. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on GCube to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question. A7 does not apply to Software. Thank you. Tikiwont (talk) 14:08, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I actually already warned him for this edit. Do what you want. I don't care at all. :)--Talktome(Intelati) 17:31, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Quick look

I've tagged it for cleanup. If it's not been rewritten by Sunday evening (when I get back home...) I'll have a go at sorting it. Peridon (talk) 21:01, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah well, I had doubts about it anyway... Peridon (talk) 21:07, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

One strategically placed cork, done.  :)

Gee,some guys just know how to have fun on a Friday night. He's done. Thanks for the heads-up! PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:18, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

We's damn good, okay.  :) Yeah, please do keep an eye on James' page. Somebody remind me how much fun it is to deal with vandals, please... --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:23, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Db-spam?

You mean, tag the userpage? I have never seen that done before. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 02:30, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll do that if they decide to recreate it. It's pretty clear the username is promotional, and the userpage was entirely promotional. I doubt they will edit again, though. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 02:35, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Chase me dinosaurs

Regarding this,[1] it turns out that the point the sock was trying to make is that there is a user on the French wikipedia (since 2005) named "Buggs". I'm assuming that could be someone's real surname. I've known people named "Bugg", though that's obviously not what inspired my user ID. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots18:11, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Summaries

Please don't use insults in edit summaries [2].. I know sometimes it's clearly silliness you are reverting, but "rv inappropriate material" etc is less inflammatory and more descriptive. Edit summaries are not the place to address the poster (use his talk page) they are a place to describe what you are doing for the assistance of people looking at the history. An IP is unlikely to see your summary anyway.--Scott Mac 09:03, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sock puppet investigation?

You commented on some sock puppet issue here: User talk:Bongwarrior#I've suggested Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard for SP.

There is an SPI going on at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Marknutley. At least one of the socks using the botnet has an issue with User:Bongwarrior. I do not know if the new case you were referring to is related. You may wish to comment. -- Petri Krohn (talk) 12:24, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Two targets

If it's of any interest to you, quite by accident I have found the answer to what you and I have in common, causing us to be the target of the same troll. See an IP's edits at [[3]]. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:18, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stop please

Kindly do not post what I would term 'egging on' comments on TFM's talk page. This is a request; your comments only will inflame the situation and can also be perceived to be deliberately made to disrupt the discussions. Regards. Wifione ....... Leave a message 19:11, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I think you've made a mistake by reverting this edit. I just thought I'd let you know I reverted your edit. Cheers - CETTALK 04:24, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello HalfShadow. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:Henrygichabaobwogi/MR.HENRY GICHABA OBWOGI, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A7 does not apply in user space. Thank you. Courcelles 11:36, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I left you a crappy comment, way below the belt, at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Missed_obvious_vandalism--you're welcome! ;) Drmies (talk) 23:40, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

Hi HS - just a quick note. I undid the last ANI comment cause I think it could really lead the conversation to spiral out of control. I understand your POV and agree that a CU is probably needed here, but just don't want to feed the trolls. Rgds,  7  04:13, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

NYyankee51

can you explain your edit here? These are declined unblock requests specific to the current block and should not be removed. Your edit summary was unclear on why you performed this action. Kuru (talk) 21:45, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

understood. my preference is not to have to dig through the edit logs when reviewing a block looking for actions that were removed; i presume that is why the restriction is there on the template. this one is a little grey in that there's unlikely to be any further review other than by arbcom.. thanks for the clarification. Kuru (talk) 21:51, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This

You deserve a cookie for this: It was pretty amusing.

Unwise

Deleting vandalism

10-4, I will try to keep that in mind for the future. In general, I don't delete stuff from established users' talk pages, unless it's way over the line (such as a BLP violation), as I figure it's up to the user to determine what to do with it, if anything. In the latest case, I likely would have zapped the second incarnation of that ape, if I had been watching. As it was, you beat me to it. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots00:34, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Aha, next time I will replace the vandalism with an equally witty and original comment rather than merely supplementing it. :) I saw there were some IP's getting into the act previously, but I've only noticed the two variants on your handle. He's liable to run out of fractions before long. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots00:42, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am gonna post something at WP:AN to see if some clever person can formulate a range block. It is beyond my skillz. --Diannaa (Talk) 01:14, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like a fairly wide range, but it doesn't hurt to ask the pros. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots01:40, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently the risk of collateral damage is too great, so says User:Elockid. I guess we will continue with manual intervention for now. But the last sock was whacked in three minutes flat, so we are running into a law of diminishing returns here: the payoff for him to continue the activity is not that high. --Diannaa (Talk) 04:01, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the RFPP, your talk page is NOT semi-protected, and the latest ID-iot was just created today. But it's your call as to what to do, if anything. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots01:22, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, a solution that puts the trolling user in its place is better than a solution that restricts the innocent users. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots02:19, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Here is a cool pic of Half Shadow contemplating the sock puppet collection --Diannaa (Talk) 01:46, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

for undoing the vandalism to my talk page! --Caltas (talk) 21:53, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Translation

Are they wanting to go Spanish-to-English, or English-to-Spanish, do you know? Or was it even a sincere request? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots17:41, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I thought there was something fishy going on there, especially as the project page had nothing about it. If RL means "real life", then the internet term URL necessarily must mean "un-real life". ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots18:02, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I wonder if that troll is connected with "Italian with a 2-way radio" or whatever the user ID was, another one that would make off-the-wall postings. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots18:03, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Trolling sockpuppet

You are of course right. I had suspected something of the sort, but when the new account followed its meaningless posts to my talk page with a similar one to yours, all doubt disappeared. Indef-blocked. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:12, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
