Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to the page User:Nintendoman01/E-123 Omega has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Jozal (talk) 19:48, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that. Generally when I see someone's blanked a page I revert it, so that's my fault. Sorry again! Jozal (talk) 19:53, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on VoiceStarz, Inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Article categories in redirects

Please don't add categories to redirects unless they are specifically meant for redirects. It makes it harder to navigate categories if they are flooded with redirects. If you wish to categorize them by series, you can use Template:CharR to list entry. TTN (talk) 17:53, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kendall Hart Slater and sourcing

This is unsourced, and thus was reverted. If Sarah Michelle Gellar did have a strained relationship with Susan Lucci, as has been rumored for years, I doubt that is the main reason Gellar left the show. Your edit made it seem as though that is the main reason she left.

Also, seeing this edit you made to the Sarah Michelle Gellar article days earlier, which was also reverted, it is clear that you are unfamiliar with IMDb being considered an unreliable source by Wikipedia in most instances. To greatly help familiarize yourself with what is considered a reliable source by Wikipedia, I suggest you read WP:Reliable sources. Other than that, take care. I have nominated Metal Gear Solid: Acquiescence, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Metal Gear Solid: Acquiescence. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Tim Pierce (talk) 13:56, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Return to Little Planet

The article Return to Little Planet has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No reliable, published, 3rd party sources; does not indicate encyclopedic notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Jeandré (talk), 2009-09-08t19:36z 19:36, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Smallville pages

I'm not cleaning up after you anymore. You need to learn how to cite your information appropriately. In the recent case of the Clark Kent page, that means providing a citation template for the episode in question just like the rest of the section does. I've cleaned this up in the past, but I'm just going to remove it from now on until you start providing the appropriate citation as required by the policy on verification.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 22:45, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Alien vs. Predator

Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Alien vs. Predator (film), please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. Categories must also be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Please place articles only in the most specific subcategory. Since Category:Alien vs. Predator films is itself a subcategory of Category:Science fiction horror films and Category:American science fiction films, placing the article in these categories as well is redundant. Please take this opportunity to familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. Thank you --IllaZilla (talk) 18:39, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Again, before applying categories to an article, make sure the article actually belongs in that category. I've reverted your addition of Category:Alien visitation films to Alien (film)...the category clearly states that it is for films about "aliens visiting the Earth". No aliens visit Earth in Alien: the characters encounter the creature on an alien world and the entire story takes place hundreds of thousands of miles from Earth. --IllaZilla (talk) 18:21, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, before applying a category please check the category page to be sure it actually applies to the article. Predator is not a Spanish-language film. Category:Spanish-language films is for films that are wholly or primarily in Spanish. There are no more than a few lines of Spanish in Predator, it is 99% English and is thus an English-language film. It is like calling Terminator a Spanish-language film because Arnold says "hasta la vista, baby" once. If you disagree with the removal of a category, please start a discussion on the article's talk page (per WP:BRD) rather than simply restoring it. --IllaZilla (talk) 16:42, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, the Spanish-language category was there before I started editing that page. I just thought that someone removed it by mistake when I put it back. Plus, I've never actually seen the movie myself, so how was I to know how many Spanish lines were in it? The Mario Bros. are the bomb!, 12:18, 17 November 2009
Yes, it was there before you started editing the page. However, I removed it this morning, leaving a clear explanation why: "language category applies to films that are entirely or predominantly that language. This film has a minimal amount of spanish in it". Yet you put it back in 90 minutes later without explanation, even though you admit you've "never actually seen the movie myself, so how was I to know how many Spanish lines were in it?" If you haven't seen the film and have no idea how much Spanish is in it, then why in the world are you putting Category:Spanish-language films on the article? Perhaps you were simply reverting without looking at the content of your edit. Please make sure to check your edits to avoid mistakes like this. --IllaZilla (talk) 17:29, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I'm sorry. I promise you that this will never happen again. The Mario Bros. are the bomb!, 12:31, 17 November 2009

Article moves

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Predator (alien) a different title by copying its content and pasting it into Predator (Predator franchise). This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. --IllaZilla (talk) 17:49, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Personal commentary, and sourcing

Hello, Smijes08. I talked to you before about sourcing (seen above in the Kendall Hart Slater section), but I need to also address you about adding Personal commentary. Adding your own personal commentary, as you did to the Freddy Krueger article is not how Wikipedia is supposed to work. The character was not designed as a pedophile, as stated by the creator. You can visit the talk page's frequently asked questions link for more about this. I would also advise you to read the Pedophilia article, since it makes quite clear what a pedophile is. If Krueger did/does not have a sexual preference for prepubescent children, he is not a pedophile (not in the true sense, at least). Flyer22 (talk) 22:30, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Categories to Jason and Michael

Please stop adding "mute" and "serial killer" categories to these pages. Neither character is mute. The definition of being mute means you cannot speak, and both can they just don't speak. Neither is a serial killer. They are mass murderers. Serial killers kill small numbers (typically one victim at a time) over a long period of time. Jason and Michael kill multiple people in the same space of time (usually one day) and then have breaks of nothing.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 16:51, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

==List of fictional burn victims hello. a page you recently created, list of fictional burn victims, does not cite any references. if you could gather some reliable sources to back your information, it could prevent your page from being speedily deleted. thanks, Qö₮$@37 (talk) 17:02, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of fictional burn victims. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of fictional burn victims. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:06, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Interview

Hi, I am a Wikipedian and researcher from Carnegie Mellon University, working with Professors Robert E. Kraut and Aniket Kittur. We’ve published many scholarly papers on Wikipedia and are partnering with the Wikimedia Foundation on several new projects.

I have been analyzing collaboration in Wikipedia, especially Collaborations of the Week/Month. My analysis of seven years of archival Wikipedia data shows that Collaborations of the Week/Month substantially increase the amount and nature of project members’ contributions, with long lasting effects. We would like to talk to Wikipedians to better understand the processes that that produce this behavior change.

We’ve identified you as a particularly good candidate to speak with because of your involvement with the WikiProject Video games' Collaborations, which is one of those we’ve been investigating. It would really help us if you would be willing to have a short talk with us, less than 30 minutes of your time. We can talk via skype or instant messenger or other means if you’d prefer. Do you have time at any point during this week to chat? If so, please leave a message on my talk page.

Thanks! (This my personal website)Haiyizhu (talk) 04:52, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries are very important

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please be sure to include an edit summary before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are very helpful to other editors browsing an article's history! Thank you. Cgingold (talk) 08:11, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Tara Strong, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page American (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). The article Alchemax has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No mention in reliable sources (only mentions found are in Comic wikis and forums) to indicate real world notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
