Hi, would u mind weighing ur opinion on the redirects of Telugu movie articles altering spellings by User:Nagarjuna198 (contributions) . He says they are correct according to Transliteration i don`t think they are, if you Google the films he moved, majority of the results are spelled with tha instead of ta, its better not to move the articles in order to maintain consistency through out the web. Pls post a talkback if u reply here. regards, DRAGON BOOSTER ★05:51, 19 July 2012 (UTC).[reply]
I am not disruptively moving the pages. Its according to telugu transliteration. If you notice the movie Antham I renamed to Antam. Even IMDB link which was specified in the article shows "Antam" and not "Antham". Antam should be right according to Transliteration. [IMDB 'Antam']. The warning you gave me is not fair, User:DRAGON BOOSTER is trying to push his POV and personal agenda. If you notice User:DRAGON BOOSTER's edit patterns, he reverts any edits made by anyone with edit summary "Good Faith". Does he own the Articles and no one should make changes? (Nagarjuna198 (talk))
@Nagarjuna198: pls just google the words, "Antam" and "Antham", which itself tells which is the correct & appropriate spelling. "Antam" doesnot have single reference or source or search result which corresponds the film. Secondly abt my edits, do u know wht does a good faith edit means? R u aware of the Wikipedia:Five pillars, particularly this one says ; "Comment on the content and not on the contributor". This is not the first time i see this comment, i just didn`t respond abiding First offenses. The next time i will report to WP:ANI, as repeated or egregious personal attacks may lead to blocks. DRAGON BOOSTER ★05:42, 22 July 2012 (UTC).[reply]
Hi Nagarjuna! It is not DRAGAN who is pushing POV. Whenever they edit summarizes something like "reverting good faith", it means that the edit made wasn't really helpful and the previous version was better. There may be difference of opinions but I don't find any fault in his reverts. Perhaps you can specify that where you find them pushing POV by giving the specific diff or link? If you want to rename a page then it is better to first discuss on the talk. You might like this: Wikipedia:Requesting moves. Thanks! — TheSpecialUser(TSU)05:56, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
@User:DRAGON BOOSTER: see I take lot of time to make these edits. Atleast discuss with me before reverting my work. Here is the google search for 'Antam' ['Antam' Google search]. Its also spelled 'Antam'. If you feel difference in opinion, Add a line "Also spelled 'Antam'" and redirect. I dont see a reason deleting even the redirect page. (Nagarjuna198 (talk))
This is to roar that you are invited to stalk DBigXray's Talk page as friendly talk page stalker. Your input to users having queries will be welcome and your help with messages that I cannot reply to quickly will be much appreciated.
apparently been an administrator and bureaucrat here, but still I think I should ask of you: Please be careful when you use some script to revert people. If you actually look at what I changed and what I typed in the edit comment, it should be clear that it was neither unconstructive, nor a test edit, nor vandalism. You can disagree with my edit, but there is no reason to slam a warning template on my talk page leading me the way to the sandbox. Alas a common practice on the English Wikipedia. Cheers, 80.219.252.246 (talk) 21:51, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Correction no Strike is neither an admin nor berocrat, he is kidding and has been trouted for this see section above. Also I tend to agree with the IP user 80.219.252.246 as he had explained in the edit summary. user 80.219.252.246 I have restored your edits on that page and removed the template from your talk page. as Strike may not comment soon.--DBigXray22:36, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually I don't exactly remember when I reverted this.I looked over it for a while and thought I passed it.But I reverted it! Thanks for bringing to notice IP and thanks DBigXray for the trout! TheStrikeΣagle04:16, 24 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks for answering, Strike Eagle and DBigXray. :-) (And I noticed the administrator/bureaucrat thing was not serious, but only after I posted. It's probably good you removed it.) --80.219.252.246 (talk) 22:11, 24 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
History...it is not just a piece of a past written on papers..but it is a thing which is to inspire the next generations for years to come..it is a thing to feel...thing to love and admire at. Literary history, political history, economical and social history, architectural history, archaeological history and more...so please do your bit to promote history..as the ambitions related to it are going low....
Heritage....is not just a piece of masonry...but our culture, mannerisms, ideologies, food habits, religion and more....so please do your bit to conserve it....
Just an initiative led by me - a history buff and heritage lover - to promote the diverse culture of India, which is diminishing its glory amidst foreign cultures....
Go, spread this message to others...but the choice lies upon you
No, militarily Germany and Japan are far stronger than India. India cannot even defend its self from Pakistan and China! If India cant defend its own national borders the how is is powerful? heheheh. Brazil has a WAY larger economy than India!TalkWoe90i09:24, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Disagreeand not likely to agree in the near future I don't understand how you baselessly claim Germany and Japan have stronger militaries' than India. Both of them are non-nuclear so-called Economic Great Powers.Yes, in terms of Nominal GDP,India is much backward than Japan or Germany....but, the economy of Brazil in terms of nominal is just a tad higher than India. When PPP is taken into account, India has a LARGER ECONOMY than all the three nations mentioned above.I agree that India in the current state cannot defend itself from China but I wont(and will never) agree that it can't defend itself from Pakistan.Pakistan is unlikely to use nuclear power in any war as it will mostly be MAD...and you know it. TheStrikeΣagle09:32, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, India cannot defend against China its neighbor (you said this your-self). While Germany and Japan are both militarily capable of defending them self's against their neighbors. So, when looking at it that way yes, Germany and Japan are in a far better position militarily than India. Also, the Germans are capable of sustained military operations 1,000s of miles away from home (albeit limited) where-as India is not. So when we look at the facts;
Germany is capable of defending its self against all its neighbors. India is not.
Germany is capable of [limited] sustained global operations to defend national interests. India is not.
In addition, Germany has a superior military Industry and the German armed forces are equipped with superior technology than their Indian counterparts.
India's only advantage over Germany is Nuclear weapons, but like you said, it would be mad to use them. India's large land force (army) of over 1 million troops is useless because India does not have the capability to deploy them out side of the sub-continent of India.TalkWoe90i10:04, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
So Japan can defend itself from PRC?.DPRK? That's funny! ..and... can Germany defend itself from France or Russia(almost a neighbour!)!?
Don't argue that India is militarily inferior to Germany or Japan just because it can't defend itself from China!..and India has no need to deploy its troops outside of the sub-continent in the near future because any possible conflict would be with China or Pakistan.
Anyway, it's useless to continue this argument as it will never lead to any consensus. So why not we stop it? TheStrikeΣagle10:38, 27 July 2012 (UTC) anymore and at current force levels a war between france and germany would[reply]
I enjoy inane arguments. But OK. Yes, Japan is an Island nation and neither China or North Korea have the capabilities to launch an invasion of Japan. Russia isn't capable of a military offensive on western Europe and France and Germany are allies.TalkWoe90i10:45, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Dbigxray I seen your pov before friend in time I will present all the bigoted comments of yours and chit chatting you do with other editors to tag team articles and yes I have proof no point in deleting your comments now :P Opinedsenior (talk) 10:46, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the Barnstar :), I have been using tools (including Twinkle, Huggle, STiki, and Igloo) but I've stopped for a bit to get some practice doing everything manually. Thanks, Callanecc (talk • contribs) talkback (etc) template appreciated. 11:47, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
hmm Seems good you can paste this on ICTF talk page, Also I have an Idea, Can you Place a small size of this File:Indiafilm.svg in the center of a Barnstar, to be used as Indian movie barnstar. regards--DBigXray16:56, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Great, looks good, but this height is too much for a barnstar. I guess for the Indian cinema you can do away with the ribbon on top and simply place the File:Indiafilm.svg in the centre of the star. That will reduce the height. what say . Take your time. --DBigXray17:17, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just a year old here ;) yet I feel that the foundation's attitude towards its contributors and the workload in real life are sufficient reasons for more editors saying goodbye everyday. Secret of success (talk) 10:34, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
What brought me to Wikipedia was the lack of information in the article of Meera. In mid-April 2012, after spending nearly 3 and a half months, I planned to add to those article which are seldom edited by others. Those included the Nawabs of Bengal & Murshidabad, articles related to it and soap opera articles. Soap operas are ongoing so I have to edit them daily but the article on the Nawabs is a piece of history...and I took up the work alone. Later, in May some editors helped me to fix typos and grammatical errors, but soon withdrew back their help. But, by God's grace I finished with the work today on 4 August 2012 and would love to share this success with you! My condition was same as the flying man in the pic, trying to catch a several things at the same time before it's too late. I don't know whether he succeeds or not, bu I did succeed! However, I still have to add some references and summarize the plots of soap opera articles in the soap opera articles. If you want, then you can help. Thank you for all who helped me all these days...thank you again! --Tamravidhir(২০১২) 11:30, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If you have noticed, Strike Eagle is currently not active due to his exams, and hence might not be able to review these articles right now. You may try to contact hi after a few more weeks. Dipankan(Have a chat?)04:35, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
