* The references are not very impressive - is there nothing else in English? But they will probably pass. Feel free to move it back into mainspace. Deletion of SlideDog

Hi, I see you deleted the SlideDog article. I am new to Wikipedia, but I'm learning fast thanks to you guys who patrol new pages and comment on the content. I rewrote the SlideDog article completely, removing all references to features and other stuff that might seem promotional after getting a speedy deletion tag, but I guess it wasn't sufficient.

Right now I'm not sure what to do. I could argue that for instance the wiki page on the other ones in the Presenentation Software category look just like the SlideDog article, but I understand why the "other pages exist" - argument isn't a valid one on wikipedia. However, may I ask you for a few quick pointers on how not to get a speedy deletion tag when writing an article similar to the ones in "Presentation Software"? The Covenant School (Tennessee)

Hello RHaworth! I am pretty new to all of this and I did request speedy deletion of User:Jyeager14/The Covenant School (Tennessee), but now I realized that was in folly. I need to recreate the page with mostly similar content, but I am unsure if I would be violating any Wikipedia rules or what not. Can you simply "undelete" the entry or is there something else I need to do? Thanks in advance for your help! Cheers, Jyeager14 (talk) 22:31, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

  • You also need to learn to provide a link to any page about which you are talking. Restored - I should never have deleted it. I have this habit of opening a batch of pages marked for speedy and then working through them taking deletion decisions. In your case at least six minutes elapsed between my opening and doing the delete. During those six minutes you removed the speedy tag but I was looking at the out of date version and never realised. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:11, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

Of course...duh! Bonehead move on my part. Thanks again for your quick reply! Jyeager14 (talk) 23:23, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

It is generally agreed that the disambiguator contain a state qualifier in addition to the city for cities not on the AP Stylebook. Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 01:11, 6 February 2013 (UTC)

MegaMace Fitness Productions

Hi, I am new to Wikipedia and I was just sitting down to edit a few entries and add MegaMace Fitness Productions, but I saw that it was deleted. I thought I was following the rules. I am not affiliated with this company. I am a fan of one of their projects, so I learned more about them and wanted to share. Is there anyway to get it back if I make changes? I'm not sure what I did wrong. Thanks Kathrynhough (talk) 21:55, 6 February 2013 (UTC)

User unblocked

Hi Roger - just letting you know that I've unblocked User:MarkHumphreyLtd, per an extensive discussion he's had with Boing! said Zebedee and a valid rename request. Yunshui  09:53, 8 February 2013 (UTC)

Need block User:DrDrake100

Hi, sorry for interrupt, User:DrDrake100 changed unsourced music genres (actually it's a music style), such as David Bowie's 1999 album 'Hours...' and 2002 album Heathen, both actually are rock music albums. He accidently added styles as genres in other infobox, such as art rock and experimental rock, which are unsourced genres. Anyway, block him with no expiry set (unlimited). P.S. If somebody needs unblock him, just don't unblock. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lordofpyrus (talkcontribs) 09:44, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

speedy deletion of DJ Rush

I just noticed that you speedily deleted the article DJ Rush on January 19, 2011. I highly dispute that this article was eligible for speedy deletion. Maybe he isn't very much renown on his home turf (I can't judge about that), but he certainly is a big name in his scene in Europe. Just look for DJ Rush on amazon.de ([1]) and you will see he has dozens of releases available in Europe. He also is a major act in European dance clubs. So please undelete this article, the least he deserves is a proper AfD discussion.--BSI (talk) 18:12, 8 February 2013 (UTC)

I don't know. But I added a few bits to the article plus 4 references. I also left some notes for consideration at User_talk:BSI/sandbox. Could you read them / check the article for notability and verifiability. I think it now satisfies the criterias of notability.--BSI (talk) 20:50, 8 February 2013 (UTC)

Deletion of Irishwaterdogs Warriors

Hi Roger, Thank you for directing me here. As I'm sure you can tell, I am not very familiar with Wikipedia's procedures. The volunteer who created the page has given me access to their account to contact you here. Irishwaterdogs Warriors. I have copied my email from earlier below and would appreciate any assistance you could give. Thank you, Dave.

This is Dave McDaid here, founder of the non-profit Irishwaterdogs Warriors program in Florida, USA. A registered 501c3 Non-Profit http://www.irishwaterdogswarriors.org

We recently had a page created in Wikipedia about our non-profit organization, but sadly it seems to have been deleted. Irishwaterdogs Warriors.

It seems the reason was for 'unambiguous advertising or promotion' and I am sure the volunteer who created the page never meant for that to happen.

Our organization has Chapters in several States here in the US and does amazing work with the VA (United States Department of Veterans Affairs) in rehabilitating our injured and disabled combat Veterans through outdoor adaptive sports. We are an accredited organization by the department in Washington DC and provide the best care and adaptive therapy for our injured Service Personnel.

I would be personally extremely grateful if you could help us in having our page restored without the content that appears to violate Wikipedia's policy. Thanking you in advance,

Dave. — SwimmerGirl Jo (talkcontribs) 20:20, 8 February 2013 (UTC)

  • Releasing ones user password is a very serious wikicrime. I am very tempted to block SwimmerGirl Jo for that reason. Under the circumstances, I would have accepted an IP address submission. My standard message applies: kindly wait until someone with no COI thinks your organisation is notable and writes about it here. If you insist on trying to force an article in: create a draft without that horrible shouting and find a "sponsor". — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:17, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
