Speedy deletion nomination of GrabCAD

I just started working on it, I was not anywhere near completion. Im bobby riegel (talk) 18:50, 3 July 2013 (UTC)Im_bobby_riegelIm bobby riegel (talk) 18:50, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of GrabCAD

Thank you! I'm new to the wiki editing tools so give me a few hours, but I will make it more fact based and less marketing going forward.

Thanks again, Bobby

I saw it on my watchlist today and it looks very improved. Nice job. kikichugirl (talk) 21:28, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! The page still needs a lot of work, but it's getting there. I don't have a ton of time to spend on the page everyday, but I'll make sure it continues to improve every week. I'm getting some additional information from the company to add to the page. Unfortunately I can't upload a logo yet since I'm new to Wikipedia. Do you know when I'll have that capability?

I appreciate your help, and I'm open to any feedback you have.

Im_bobby_riegel (talk) 19:21, 8 July 2013 (UTC)im_bobby_riegelIm bobby riegel (talk) 19:21, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have to make sure that the logo you're uploading is either fair use or a free image. Make sure you're not violating anyone's copyright or the image will probably be speedy deleted. To upload images, you need to have 4 edits and 10 days' registration to be autoconfirmed (there will be a link in your toolbox called Upload file) or you don't have to be autoconfirmed to use Files for upload. -kikichugirl (talk) 19:34, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

GOCE Drive wrap-up

Guild of Copy Editors January 2012 backlog elimination drive
GOCE January 2012 Backlog Elimination progress graph

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors January 2012 Backlog elimination drive! Here is your end-of-drive wrap-up newsletter.

Participation

45 people signed up for this drive this time; of these, 35 participated. This is similar to the number of editors who helped out in November. Thanks to all who participated! Barnstars will be distributed in the near future.

Progress report

Recent drives have been focusing on the oldest three months in the backlog. During this drive we were successful in eliminating our target months—July, August, and September 2010—from the queue, and there are less than 300 articles remaining from 2010. End-of-drive results and barnstar information can be found here.

When working on the backlog, please keep in mind that there are options other than copy editing available; some articles may be candidates for deletion, or may not be suitable for copy editing at this time for other reasons. The {{GOCEreviewed}} tag can be placed on any article you find to be totally uneditable, and you can nominate for deletion any that you discover to be copyright violations or completely unintelligible. If you need help deciding what to do, please contact any of the coordinators.

Thank you for participating in the January 2012 drive! All contributions are appreciated. Our next copy edit drive will be in March.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited History of Alton Towers, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Dark Ages (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Help with log display

Hey Kikichugirl,

I'm having trouble displaying the logo properly on the Grabcad page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GrabCAD) . Could you help me out please?

Thanks a BUNCH

UPDATE: Never mind I figured it out! Thank you though

Nice job on the page so far. Watch the red links in your references, though, because it shouldn't be that red. Glad to see a quality article for GrabCAD! kikichugirl (talk) 20:59, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Declined speedy

Thanks for working on cleaning up so many pages! I declined your WP:CSD#A1 nomination of Dick Leibert because the first (okay, *only*) sentence (okay, phrase) actually does state who this person was. I'm not sure it would survive AfD on grounds of notability though. DMacks (talk) 04:31, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know. I wonder if it would satisfy CSD A7: Unremarkable musician or band though? Should I re-nominate? --kikichugirl (talk) 04:37, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Based on what I read about the place/instrument where he worked, I think the article does make a claim of notability that is credible and sounds impressive in its realm. Without references, it's hard to tell--a ref for him at all might reveal reviews of his performances to satisfy WP:BAND or at least that he had a substantial impact on the famous institution. Musical performance isn't my field, so I don't really know where to look for these types of refs (if indeed they exist:( DMacks (talk) 04:45, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I see. Perhaps I'll wait a few days and nominate for AfD or PROD then. I still think his notability is questionable, though. --kikichugirl (talk) 05:05, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Girl, give me a chance! I only posted the first part of a bigger article 1 day ago and posted a message to say it was an ongoing work. I know you have competitions to win but let's be cool and sensible. Peace and good karma. Richard Avery (talk) 07:52, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, sorry. I try to be careful when using AWB but sometimes I make mistakes. Thank you for letting me know! I'll try to be careful next time. And no, I don't really have a competition or anything to win. I'm just a very bored person. :) --kikichugirl 08:00, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

About "Gram Tangra"

Hi Kikichugirl! It's a real populated place in West Bengal state, India, though admittedly that was hard to tell from the original state of the article, so your tagging was very understandable. There's a policy somewhere that all populated places are inherently notable. I'm working on it. Pete aka --Shirt58 (talk) 12:35, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I guess I spoke too soon in my tagging. I like the improvements, though! kikichugirl inquire 19:12, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

New section

you deleted my contribution to caddilac and dinasaur which is too much sad and disappointing. wikipedia must look into such kind of bias activities from its users. What slang or irr-relevancy did u find in my contribution. you put it again so that people can best decide — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.178.157.19 (talk) 19:40, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and thanks for wanting to help. Which article do you mean? If you could link to the article I'd be happy to explain my rationale for reverting! kikichugirl inquire 19:55, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Found the article. I reverted your edits because it seemed like vandalism. Text should not go up there; if you would like to add relevant, sourced information, please add it in the appropriate section. Thanks! kikichugirl inquire 19:58, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Chok Tong article

I'm new here. Could I ask which part of the article was unacceptable? Essentially the position of Senior Minister Emeritus has never existed in our country before. In other words it was created explicitly for him. Search result from governement's website confirms this http://www.parliament.gov.sg/search/node/Emeritus%20Senior%20Minister. Which part isn't true?Theapropos (talk) 20:04, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please refer to the conversation we're having on your talk page. The issues Kikichugirl brought up on your talk page are the same issues you and I have been discussing today. —    Bill W.    (Talk)  (Contrib)  — 20:33, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Wtwilson3: Thank you for your help.
@Theapropos: Thanks for wanting to help! In response to your question, It was not that it was unacceptable. Like the note on your talk page I put, if you have something to say about the article, put it on the talk page. If you're going to be WP:BOLD and just add the information in, you need to cite it using WP:reliable sources. Welcome to Wikipedia and I hope you like it here, though! --kikichugirl inquire 21:09, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of page

Hello, you deleted the article Sultan-ul-Faqr (Second) Hazrat Khawaja Imam Hassan Basri Razi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu . I have added the source of the matter in the article and the OTRS # please guide me what am I doing wrong.--Rizwantdf (talk) 19:43, 25 July 2013 (UTC) rizwan[reply]

@Rizwantdf:I did not delete the article. I simply tagged it for deletion. Those pages are inappropriate in regards to WP's content guidelines. Please speak with the deleting administrators if you have any other questions. Thanks! kikichugirl inquire 19:46, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Kikichugirl: It is deleted under G3. Pure vandalism and blatant hoaxes i could not understand how this article was blatant hoaxes --Rizwantdf (talk) 20:25, 25 July 2013 (UTC)Rizwan[reply]
@Rizwantdf: There is no need to ping me on my own page, I already get notifications. :) Like I said, speak to the deleting administrator(s). As Acriterion said, Wikipedia is not for religious promotion and that can be constituted as vandalism. Thanks! kikichugirl inquire 20:30, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well sorry for the ping :) but i could not understand how my articles were promotional these are just some biographies and of those who are well known. I have similar articles like Sultan Bahu which are very much of same nature, i believe. But those are not tagged or deleted. --Rizwantdf (talk) 20:45, 25 July 2013 (UTC)rizwan[reply]

That article is written in an encyclopedic tone and is Wikified, written in a neutral tone, and does not read like it is lathering praise on someone or something. --kikichugirl inquire 21:10, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Rizwantdf: Are you also the one who created the "Fourth" article? kikichugirl inquire 21:40, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

kikichugirl: I created four articles Sultan-ul-Faqr , Sultan-ul-Faqr (First) Hazrat Fatima Razi Allahu Ta'ala Anha , Sultan-ul-Faqr (Second) Hazrat Khawaja Imam Hassan Basri Razi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu , Sultan-ul-Faqr (Third) Ghaus-ul-Azam Hazrat Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani Razi Allah Anhu but whats the point these are now deleted i canot edit them :( — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rizwantdf (talkcontribs) 23:08, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I can't do anything about that. You can always request undeletion or userification, though, provided that an admin is willing to grant you that. --kikichugirl inquire 23:11, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yea i requested him hope my request will be answered by him and i will be allow to modify the articles any ways thanx for your help :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rizwantdf (talkcontribs) 23:13, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

For all the things I've seen you do, and the talk page issues I've seen you resolve with class and utter aplomb. I was quite surprised to read on your user page that you are still in high school. Well done, you get a Barnstar.
