Elampillai is a panchayat town in Salem district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is famous for the Powerloom textiles(Silk Sarees) and food item called "paniyaaram" in Tamil. Siddhar Kovil alias Kanjamalai is a famous temple in salem district,it is located about 5 km away from Elampillai.
Geography
Elampillai is located at 11°36′N 78°00′E / 11.6°N 78.0°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 257 metres (843 feet). Kanjamalai hill is about 3 km from the Eastern side of the town.
