Howard Stern

I've tried for awhile just to get that one, and I just did a quick search and there's still nothing recent that I could see that was quality. There were a few from 2005/6 that I saw, but they had poor poses. The best bet is to try and contact his show or agent to see if they are willing to release an image. Citing sources

In general you can use it for quotes or for how the person is feeling, but its best to use secondary sources instead. You can find info there and then look to see if you can find a secondary source for it on the web, then use that internet source instead. Googles News Archives are great; make sure you search for articles with no price as that will give you freely accessible articles. Also The New York Times archives are currently free back to 1987. Here's a search for articles mentioning Howard Stern sorted by oldest first:[1] Those would be good to look through regardless imho. Also here is an unbelievably awesome site that I sometimes browse through which doesn't meet WP:RS but is useful as a directory since it cites articles:[2] Its dead now but you can browse it via the internet archive like this. If you scroll to the bottom there are links to articles on the history of Stern's show and its broadcast history with tons of affiliates. If you scroll to the bottom of the info for one city there is usually a link to more info from that city. All the info is cited with sources. There were just brief title cards for each section with the new voiceover comments.) Your research has really brought this article to an excellent place. I agree that its about ready for review. Hi, I've just started to go through the article carefully line by line. I made a few edits just to establish themes and clarify things a little. Here are a few thoughts for you. More to come if you want them.

• Opening section 2nd paragraph: would “Surround Sound” be appropriate to add to Sterophonic sound”? i.e. “in Sterophonic sound and surround sound.”
• Prior to the last sentence of the opening, it feels like it needs another sentence to establish that it became popular over time. something like “Over time, Fantasia connected with audiences and became a popular hit.” I had added a sentence like this way back but it was deleted as being unsourced. Maybe you have the source for such a statement at your fingertips.
• Is there any source for how much it has earned in home video sales?
• In the last paragraph of “Origins” it’s a little confusing that Disney is pursuing Stokowski, but when he contacts Taylor, he is too busy to work on the film. Can this either be fleshed out a little, or maybe just eliminated? Maybe it’s too much detail for this section?

Jumping ahead to Home media - Audio: The LP record was not introduced until 1948. If Disney proposed a record release in 1940 it would have been a multi-disc 78rpm record album. But the whole soundtrack would have taken an album of many 78 records, at least 12 or so. That would have been very expensive at the time, although some classical works, like operas were released as very big albums with many records. Best, Markhh (talk) 06:08, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

Hey! Sorry I haven't had time to respond to your other comments, but here's my guess about Fantasia in digital stereo. I would bet that the 1982 version, while recorded digitally was exhibited in analog dolby stereo on prints with standard magnetic audio tracks - like magnetic audio tape only on the edge of the film. The digital master would have been converted to an analog soundtrack on the release prints. Probably no theaters were equipped for digital playback back then. So 1985 was probably the first time it was exhibited with a true digital soundtrack - and even then there were probably not many theatres equipped for that. That's just a guess, but I bet that's the answer. I had never thought about that before. Also re the records, the source about the Phila Orch just says that Disney had considered releasing "records" of the music in 1940, i.e. 78's, before actually releasing the 3-LP set in the late 50s. Makes sense that they would wait till home stereo was a reality to make a home version. More later, best, Markhh (talk) 02:53, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

Why are you moving all the lede prose into the article body itself? And why just the Yes album articles? I don't understand your reasoning and I don't think you understand how Wikipedia articles are meant to be structured. All articles must have a lede which act as a summary of the entire article. HurluGumene, Wikipedia does have a manual of style that includes guidance on the WP:lead section of articles. I have reviewed that guidance and it does not appear to me to support your approach of shorter leads and the use of an "Overview" section. Clearly several other editors oppose these edits as well. Hey, good to see somebody else digging out their old Genesis albums and trying to improve some of our articles. I've just done a bit on A Trick of the Tail and Duke, but I haven't done anything on Wind and Wuthering as you seem to have got that fairly well covered, so I'll leave it in your capable hands. Selling England by the Pound is now a good article, and with a bit of work, hopefully some others will be. The main problem I've got is that the only really good source I have is Bowler and Dray's book, while you seem to have back issues of Sounds and various other magazines. Fragile (Yes album)

About the edit I did on that article was reverted, there is a source I found that would support the edit. However, according to the source, it has a different release date which is on January 4, 1972. Perhaps it was released in either the UK or US on that date, but I'm not entirely sure.
