Chathura Senaratne

Nambukara Helambage Chathura Sandeepa Senaratne, MP (20 February 1982) is a Sri Lankan politician and a member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka.[1] He is currently infamous all over Sri Lanka for entertaining people with ridiculous speeches, turning himself into the laughingstock of the country.

Early life and education

Born to politician Dr Rajitha Senaratne and his wife Sujatha Senaratne, he received his education at Ananda College,Colombo and was admitted to the University of Colombo to study for a MBBS degree in medicine in 2004, but dropping out to take up full time politics.[2]

He campaigned along with his father for the common opposition candidate Maithripala Sirisena at the 2015 presidential election.[6][7][8]

Parliamentary Election 2015

He contested in the 2015 parliamentary election from the United National Front for Good Governance (UNFGG) and was from Gampaha District to Parliament.[9][10] He is the son of Rajitha Senaratne.[11]
