Unsourced death

If you want to list her as deceased, we will need evidence of this. News of a fatal car crash that does not specify her by name will not suffice. —Guanaco 19:40, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It still is not sufficient today. --AntiCompositeNumber (Leave a message) 22:34, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Billie has been putting out new music and is set to release a new music video July 11th. She has been spotted numerous times in public and performed very recently. She is often active on her social media. She is very much alive Izzymendoza 714 (talk) 20:52, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

'Stylized as'

Almost every song title in this article is referenced with a "corrected" presentation and Stylized as note with the actual title. What is the reasoning for this? I understand Wikipedia has certain guidelines for this, but don't those generally apply only to article titles? Even there I think they would only demand capitalizing the first letter in a title of a work. I don't see any references to "I Would Die For You (Stylized as "I Would Die 4 U")" on the Purple Rain article, for a counter-example. Walkersam (talk) 18:08, 11 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. It's not needed. I'll fix it. Melodies1917 (talk) 21:52, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please change bitches broken hearts from being a TBA album to a non-album single. Billie stats in an interview that her first name is indeed William after her grandfather. Please change Billie's name to William. Heres the link to the interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rr8T7akYK2s skip to 4:57 to hear her say it herself. Family

Timothy O’Connell is brothers with Finneas O’Connell, Billie’s father, and Billies 2 cousins are Bridget O’Connell, age 15, and Christopher O’Connell, age 11. Bridgetoconnell (talk) 23:45, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Unless the cousins are notable people, there's no point to mention them. Even then, the relationship would need to be traced to published reliable sources. —C.Fred (talk) 00:20, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

i think that lovely should get its own article because of all it charts and since its her first song to chart on billboard in the US. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.115.194.66 (talk) 16:46, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Fix incorrect word

In October 2015, Billie recorded the song "Ocean Eyes", initially written by Finneas for his band, and sent it to her dance teacher who hoped to choreograph a dance to it.[10][11]

Someone please apply these corrections: In the bio it says that "Ocean eyes" has 132 mln streams on Spotify (it currently has 191 mln streams). The peaks of dont smile at me aren't updated (US alternative's peak is 2 and Canada Albums's 15). In the section Other charted songs, it says that "Copycat", "Idontwannabeyouanymore", "My Boy" and "Watch" were released in 2018, but they were all out in 2017. 2A02:A31A:E03C:C480:DD62:DBD4:76FC:2047 (talk) 21:40, 8 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

why she is the best

she really tries her best to be there for her fans which she calls family because if it weren't for them she wouldn't be where she is today . I personally love her as a singer and a person in general she is a great role model and even though some parents don't approve of her gloomy lyrics I love them . if they actually knew what the meaning was behind them then they would love them to . take her new song "Wish you were gay" aka "wywg" a lot of people are getting offended by this song by only reading the title ,if they listened to this song in more depth they would know and also if they did their research because this song actually isn't "new" it was writing 3 years ago about a boy who billie was madly in love with but he didn't feel the same way and she just wishes he was gay so that he would have a real reason not to love her back instead of just "not being his type" I feel that if everyone knew who they were hating on they would feel bad so please stop making remarks you don't even know are true or if you don't know the whole story . thank you Ilovebillie (talk) 22:51, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request for edit, March 3rd, 2019

In the last line of the opening paragraph, she is credited as having a platinum album through the RIAA. This is not true, verifiable through the RIAA's website. Please change "Through the RIAA, Eilish has seven gold and two platinum singles, along with one platinum album." to "Through the RIAA, Eilish has seven gold and two platinum singles.".

She does have an EP which sold at the level of RIAA-certified platinum albums (see EOS comparison), but the RIAA doesn't give Silver/Gold/Plat Album certifications to EP's even if they are of album length, so calling her a "RIAA Platinum album selling artist" is incorrect. Semi-protect edit request: pronunciation

The second syllable of her "last name" is not a long e sound, it's a short i sound. IPA symbol is ɪ. We ought correct "EYE leesh" (/ˈaɪliʃ/) to "EYE lish" (/ˈaɪlɪʃ/). —208.185.173.211 (talk) 23:16, 11 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Allegations of being an "Industry Plant"

Recently, there have been some claims on various corners of the 'net claiming that Billie Eilish is, in fact, an 'industry plant' (i.e. system was rigged in their favour). Would this be best discussed in a new section, separate page, or...?

Thanks. Zer0thenumber (talk) 03:07, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your question. But first of all, per WP:BLP, which applies to all of the Wikipedia, even on a talk page you can't make (or even just describe, as you are here) allegations against a person without providing a ref. I'v provided one, otherwise I would have had to scrub your comment. It's OK, a lot of people don't realize this about WP:BLP
(Here's a ref, it's the Chicago Reader which, enh... it says "I've seen the term used against [person], Billie Eilish, [person], [person], and [person]. ... 'I think that a lot of people understand that the term doesn't really hold much weight.'"
on the merits, no, I wouldn't include it. Sounds like it's just gossip. Even including it descriptively ("Some people say...") gives it too much credence and kind of spreads the rumor, or at least the existance of the rumor, which casts a shadow on Eilish I suppose... per WP:BLP we only want to do that when we really have to. Herostratus (talk) 14:30, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
She should be deleted as not notable as all her sources are written to promote her when she has no true fans or notability. But PR companies have extended confirmed Wikipedia accounts would vote keep in any AFD. 95.158.62.112 (talk) 19:46, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
