Diane Therrien is a Canadian municipal politician who is the mayor of Peterborough, Ontario, a position she won in the 2018 Ontario municipal elections.[1] Therrien is the third woman to be mayor of the city. Prior to her mayoral election, she was a city councillor for Ward 3 (Town Ward) from 2014 to 2018.[2]


Ms. Therrien dragged around the argument 'The Parkway is an antiquated idea, and should not be built.'[3] as one of her arguments[4]With the progression of the parkway and growth of business, she regrouped and has used her current position to continue her vindictive hatred toward progress.
