Just to explain
Hi. I'm one of the many volunteers reviewing draft articles. The sculptor you wrote about looked like an edge case, for me. Although I personally don't think he passes our notability criteria I know other editors who would disagree. For that reason, I accepted your draft article so it's in Wikipedia now and I nominated it for deletion so that, rather than have your draft continue to wait because of my opinion, the article is live now and several other editors will be able to weigh-in and discuss the matter so the subject gets a fair shake. Chris Troutman (talk) 20:29, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hi @Chris troutman:, thank you for reviewing the article and explaining the case to me. I appreciate and respect the feedback provided by the reviewing editors who participated in the deletion discussion. As a paid editor, I come across way too many people and companies who believe they are notable for a Wikipedia page and wouldn't listen to us when we tell them otherwise. I have found that if we decline their project from the get-go, then they end up with one of the UPE's anyhow. This way, by means of deletion discussions or draft rejections, we can show them that it is not only us, but the actual Wikipedia policies that they do not satisfy.
