Trade to the Los Angeles Clippers

After 2018-2019 Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard signed with the Clippers[1], George requested a trade from the OKC Thunder[2], which was then accepted. In the trade, the Thunder received point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, small forward Danilo Gallinari, the Miami Heat's 2021 first round pick (Owned by the Clippers), the Clippers 2022, 2024, and 2026 first round picks all unprotected, a lottery protected 2023 pick, and 2023 and 2025 pick swaps. The Clippers on the other hand, only received George. [3] --2kKainDark (talk) 09:16, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@2kKainDark: The trade is based off of anonymous sources. Please wait until the trade is completed and a team or league source announces it on the record. You can refer to WP:SPORTSTRANS for more details. Regards.—Bagumba (talk) 09:56, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

--Why is there absolutely nothing in the profile regarding this trade, though? Couldn't there be a simple sentence in his bio that says something like, "According to numerous sources, Paul George has been traded to the Los Angeles Clippers"? These aren't just rumors -- this trade is likely happening and no mention of it at all is needlessly protective. --Lasalleexplorer (talk) 19:48, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Lasalleexplorer: Most editors just do the simple infobox and lead changes, and not the slightly more complex prose with citiation. Be bold and do it.—Bagumba (talk) 20:10, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Paul George actually led the league in minutes along with Bradley Beal in the 2018-19 season. Should have an * with the background blue. Breadmachines (talk) 23:40, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
