RfA thanks

Hi Faithless, and thanks for supporting my successful request for adminship. It was nice to see all the kind comments I got from my supporters and I hope that I will be more useful to the community now that I have the tools again.--Berig (talk) 15:31, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Cockburn Town

Per your recent edits at Cockburn Town, are you confirming that it is pronounced COKE-bern and not COE-bern? I ask because not all our editors have a firm grasp on the IPA, and you didn't say anything at Talk. kwami (talk) 05:20, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Looks like I was a bit sloppy when editing that page, and didn't finish. I meant to change the IPA to COE-bern, and provide a couple of sources. Oddly enough, I had trouble finding any good sources at all. I did find a couple that, while not great sources by any means, ought to be acceptable considering the minor nature of the claim they're backing up. I will make the changes presently - if my IPA is incorrect, please feel free to correct it. Cheers, faithless (speak) 06:39, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Great! I couldn't find anything. The IPA is fine. kwami (talk) 07:27, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Re: Jim Morrison's birthdate

Ijust wanted to reiterate how problematic this has been from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation IP over the last few months. It's not just on the Morrison article, but that's the one I have watchlisted. Wildhartlivie (talk) 04:06, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I seem to remember them messing about with the Morrison article before. We'll need to keep an eye on it. Constant Vigilance! faithless (speak) 10:06, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
I just wanted to note that the same problem has happened five six times in the last days: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5],

[6], and was blocked for the same thing in July and is fairly persistent. I believe this isn't just changing for their use of dating, it's become vandalism. Wildhartlivie (talk) 08:48, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

I apologize in advance if it is inappropriate to say Oh baby, you're my hero!! Wildhartlivie (talk) 11:12, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the references

I especially liked the New York Times article. I also added it in on the 3rd Street (Los Angeles) article, which is pretty basic and needs help badly. That area is fun if you're ever in town. Joan's is seriously the best gourmet food place in LA. So I'm hoping the article will be around for a while.ChildofMidnight (talk) 22:39, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Happy to help. I'm originally from California, but haven't spent much time in Los Angeles. I'm from the Bay Area, and have also lived in Palm Springs. :-) faithless (speak) 23:42, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

You copied it verbatim from this website. faithless (speak) 21:55, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Bill Clinton

Bill Clinton has been nominated for a good article reassessment. Articles are typically reviewed for one week. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to good article quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status will be removed from the article. Reviewers' concerns are here. --Michael Johnson (talk) 00:33, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. Just wanted to let you know that I've protected that page for one day to prevent further edit warring. Cheers, –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 19:10, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Question about the box on the top and your revert

Hello. Would you please briefly explain which part of the top box was not satisfied in the reverted comment here? I try to examine some allegiations about the given user behaviour but I do not understand why his answer to your repeated question was removed from here, as it seems to satisfy every "requirements" of your top box. Thank you. --grin 09:54, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

His post here was in reply to a comment I left on his talk page. As I like to keep conversations together, rather than splitting them between talk pages (as stated in the box at the top), I moved his reply back to his talk page when I replied to him. faithless (speak) 09:56, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Great! Thanks for the reply. --grin 21:54, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Boja na Grocko

Hey, the Battle of Grocka is the part of the Austro-Turkish War, 1737-1739. But this article was move in the Russo-Turkish War (1735–1739). Accordingly i wrote this Austro-Russo-Turkish War. Doncsecz 17:16, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Jim Morrison

Uh huh. That will teach me to revert changes before I go eat Sunday dinner. Wildhartlivie (talk) 18:05, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Just a quick question

Hey, while browsing through recent changes, I noticed you reverting lots of vandalism, so I'm assuming you are experienced with reverting vandalism. I just have a quick question: I've noticed that when I try and revert vandalism, especially page blanks, I get a message saying that my edit contains new external links and it makes me type in the words in the box (To prevent automated spam). It makes reverting a little difficult, and if you could tell me how to avoid this, I'd be grateful. Inferno, Lord of Penguins 19:15, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Hmm...that's strange. You mean like a CAPTCHA? faithless (speak) 19:18, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
That's it. So anyways, do you know why it comes up? Inferno, Lord of Penguins 21:16, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't know. I've never seen that before. I'd suggest going to the help desk or the village pump. If you need help with anything else, don't hesitate to ask me; though I obviously can't answer all of your questions, I can probably point you in the right direction. :-) faithless (speak) 12:12, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
