Geräte- und Akkumulatorenwerk Zwickau → GAZ Geräte- und Akkumulatorenwerk Zwickau – GAZ Geräte- und Akkumulatorenwerk Zwickau GmbH is the official name of the company, in the Chemnitz companies' registry—"GAZ" isn't just the company's initials.[1] Furthermore, the business is generally known as "GAZ".[2] AntientNestor (talk) 21:51, 6 December 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. - Oppose - using both the acronym and the full name of an organization is against WP:NCA, and the title GAZ is already taken by a Russian company which trades under that symbol. By pageviews, the Russian company seems the clear primary topic between the two, meaning the current title is the best for this article, again per WP:NCA. If indeed the company doesn't use the full name at all anymore, perhaps GAZ (German company) would be a better title? Bensci54 (talk) 17:28, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: Using the company's acronym and its full name isn't what's proposed here—that would be against WP policy. The proposal is to use the company's correct name, in full, as the article title. The page was created under the correct name and arbitrarily moved to the current name, with the incorrectly truncated title, without discussion.--AntientNestor (talk) 11:51, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
- I agree with @AntientNestor, "GAZ Geräte- und Akkumulatorenwerk Zwickau" is the proper name of the company. Although "GAZ (German company)" is a good idea, @Bensci54, it simply isn't quite correct. Ostrcilik (talk) 11:34, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
