[edit]

when spike did a cover on the game, Ben Saunders was featured actually being digitally animated, and was going through the graphing process of visualization, in reference to the game. it can only be assumed that he is in the game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.193.232.40 (talk) 02:48, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Don't just list the whole UFC rosters idiots only list confirmed fighters as that's what people have come here to read. You can add the others when they are confirmed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.30.40.41 (talk) 09:53, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

One thing to point out here... just cos they've been featured in working demos of the game does not mean they'll make it to the final cut. For instance, there's likely no way Jon Koppenhaver is in the final game, he was cut from the UFC a month ago. The same for Juanito Ibarra, all of his fighters left him so he's not likely to corner anyone in the final game. hateless 19:09, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually... I think they'll keep them in. It is a smarter choice for the company to build in as many fighters as possible for variety of gameplay. Common sense would dictate that if they already did the motion captures for fighters no longer with UFC, they will still be in the game anyways. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.14.70.8 (talk) 02:17, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

More to add to Roster!!

[edit]

{{editsemiprotected}} For the roster, from reference #8. the Gametrailer Inside Look.. it also shows that Welterweight fighters: Ben "Killa B" Saunders, and Jon "War Machine" Koppenhaver are also in this game!

DoneMs2ger (talk) 09:29, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was watching the 2009 Video Game Awards and they showed World Premier Footage of In-Game of Rashad Evans and Frank Mir so put them on the roster! and also Ben Saunders's nickname is no longer "Berserk" he changed it before UFC 86 now he's Ben "Killa B" Saunders! —Preceding unsigned comment added by UFC Arman (talkcontribs) 03:34, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Im pretty sure that they use it in the game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.207.65.197 (talk) 18:08, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Should these be added to the main page? --Terrorcide (talk) 17:13, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Remove roster list?

[edit]

I see that it is this section which is resulting in a huge back and forth between editors. Perhaps we should remove the section altogether? An exhaustive roster is not generally needed in articles like this anyway (imagine how long it would be if we did the same for WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009)? The information is speculative at best as the game has not been released yet and may not have been finalised. I think providing an external link to the gamespot article will do a much better job of this anyway. What do other's think? Sillyfolkboy (talk) (edits) 23:00, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The final roster is sourced by a reliable publication (Gamespot, albeit in a blog post it still qualifies as a reliable source) and is of interest to people. I think it is fine as is, although the non-fighter roster should probably be removed. If space is an issue, we can use column templates to get rid of the wasted whitespace. hateless 23:12, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Can you point out where the consensus was made? Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games/Archive 65#Roster in wrestling articles is the latest discussion I found on the subject, and it was inconclusive. hateless 23:43, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I was more or less going by the hidden comment on Fight Night Round 4 ([1]), hence "apparantly". Reading the discussion though, I agree with the people citing WP:NOTDIR and WP:NOTGUIDE. It's not encyclopedic and is available elsewhere if people really want to see it. It's also more trouble than it's worth with people having fun adding people to it, but I guess that's no real reason for removal. -_- Anyway, I'll format it so it looks a little better at least. --aktsu (t / c) 00:07, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that it's what people want to read here but this type of information could easily be accompanied by lists of rings available, special moves used etc. I'm not uber-let's-get-rid-of-it but the fact is this is pretty minor information, when the game comes out no one will care. Sillyfolkboy (talk) (edits) 19:59, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sub-Styles

[edit]

There should be mentioned that instead of 9 possible combinations, there are actually 81. Each discipline (BJJ, Judo, Wrestling, MuayThai, Kickboxing, Boxing) all have at least 3 sub-styles.

Also, I removed Sudo from the roster because he is not on the official list. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.91.152.87 (talk) 03:49, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They aren't sub-styles but rather experience in the discipline. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.91.152.87 (talk) 23:32, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unlocking Legends

[edit]

CBS Sportsline interview revealed that there are Unlockable Legends. Shouldn't this be in the article? Only one mentioned so far is Royce Gracie at Middleweight. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.91.152.87 (talk) 23:34, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

John Hackleman

[edit]

You can add John Hackleman to the paragraph about non-playable characters. He is in the playable demo that is available on xbox 360. 199.191.74.20 (talk) 20:17, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

TapouT crew

[edit]

Can some one add some where that they are Unlockable? They are listed on the official game strategy guide.--Dandvsp (talk) 21:48, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

UFC 2009 Undisputed OR UFC Undisputed 2009?

[edit]

Should this article really be namned UFC 2009 Undisputed instead of UFC Undisputed 2009? Because the 2010 game is namned UFC Undisputed 2010 and not UFC 2010 Undisputed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.248.110.140 (talk) 21:22, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
