Incorrect Record

According to his profile on the official UFC site, Danzig's record is 18-4-1. On his article on wikipedia, it says 17-4-1. Where is the missing win? --Xander756 (talk) 20:28, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

TUF fights: Amateur vs. Exhibition

Fights from The Ultimate Fighter are not amateur fights. They are professional exhibitions. This is clearly listed earlier on Danzig's page, it's listed on the page for The Ultimate Fighter, and has been repeatedly listed in reliable articles discussing how The Ultimate Fighter works. Some examples as sources:

  1. "fight on The Ultimate Fighter 4 doesn't count seeing that it's an exhibition"
  2. "They were regulated and overseen by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, but were considered only exhibition fights."
  3. " The fights held during the show were considered 2-round exhibition bouts and do not count towards a fighters' professional records."

That's just what I could dig up in a couple of minutes of looking. So, unless you can find a more reliable source than Sherdog, MMA Weekly, Wrestling Observer, and the contestants themselves (like an official statement from the athletic commission) that says the entire community reporting on MMA is wrong, please do not continue to add TUF fights to Danzig's amateur record.

Also, please provide a citation to a reliable source for his amateur record. Gromlakh (talk) 03:06, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Film appearance

I'm following the production of a film that's coming out next year, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, and I read that Mac Danzig is making a cameo appearance. I thought you might be interested and would possibly like to include it on his page. Here's the reference: http://ihopetheyservebeerinhell.com/archives/favorite_cameo.html

EDIT: In fact, you'll probably prefer this link, because it's on an MMA website and it's their exclusive. More pictures too: http://fiveouncesofpain.com/2008/08/15/5-oz-exclusive-forrest-griffin-mac-danzig-play-cops-in-tucker-max-movie/ 86.0.81.213 (talk) 16:58, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
