When does the game take place?
The article states that the events in the game start in 1999 and end in 2002 but frankly that's the first time I see this kind of information (however, I'm also not a hardcore fan of the universe, I'm just a fan of the games themselves). I don't recall the game itself providing any dates nor that the campaign spans three years and no source for this particular information is given (if it does and I always missed them - shame on me). Where do these dates come from? And no, I'm not saying that they can't possibly be correct, I'd like to see confirmation for this, though, and if the dates were retroactively defined by one of the sequels or a novelization (which are very rarely canonical) I think that should be mentioned explicitly (like "the novel xxxxx sets the events depicted in the game in the years ranging from 1999 until 2002" or something like that). --F4LL0UT (talk) 15:20, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
According to C&C Renegade (the last Westwood title set during the first war) the conflict with Nod turned hot in 2019 and the events of Renegade take place after march 2020,these dates appear in the games manual in the form of an intelligence report and in several of the ingame intel archives unlock through play.81.146.40.229 (talk) 18:40, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

Remastered Version in Works
I think we may need to prepare to update the article with regards to information concerning a remastered version of the game. From clips shown on YouTube, the remastered version appears to include improvements in several areas, such as graphics and UI. If we do, should it be mentioned in its own section, or marked down under the Legacy section? GUtt01 (talk) 12:36, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
