Disney+

[edit]

This article identifies the movie as a Disney+ movie. Rusted AutoParts 22:24, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I feel this isn't enough to fully determine that it is a Disney+ film since there has been no official announcement by Disney of such move. While I do believe that the film will likely have a Disney+ component to it, simultaneous or straight-to Disney+, this feels a bit pre-emptive since no other major trade has reported it apart from Deadline and it isn't even given its own article and just slyly mentioned in an article about an Apple TV+ show? Due to these reasons, I feel we should hold off from determining its fate till Disney announces so. LFLEncycolpedia (talk) 11:16, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It’s in direct corroboration with Deadlines report Cruella would be moved to Disney+. Rusted AutoParts 04:25, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't be surprised if Disney releases the film both theatrically and on Disney+ with Premier Access. BaldiBasicsFan (talk) 03:24, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

One may not get suprised is an personal opinion. Obvious likely news isn't official news. Disney, on the investor day event, which took place AFTER this Deadline report chronologically, reiterated that Cruella is still a theartical movie scheduled for May 28. The whole event is accessible on official website of Disney. You can check. They shifted two of the three movies mentioned in the Deadline article on Disney+, But not Creulla. Also this deadline report is speculating that these movies will go to DIsney+ back then. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2409:4063:230B:BA52:70FE:F6DB:3D30:AE37 (talk) 18:25, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The article I linked at the beginning of this discussion called Cruella a Disney+ film in late January this year. Rusted AutoParts 18:27, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

But there is no OFFICIAL announcement by Disney, Last time Disney mentioned this movie, they said its theatrical. Disney hasn't announced any move to Disney+. I would take the word of Disney before Deadline, because such major announcements are made by Disney and their word has more weight. Variety and THR etc have many times reported that they think Black Widow will go day and date on D+, but we can't take that word as confirmation until Disney or Marvel officially confirms it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2409:4063:230B:BA52:4CDD:739B:9362:6A20 (talk) 07:15, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We have reliable sources calling it a Disney+ film. That is sufficient to source until an official denial is issued. Rusted AutoParts 07:34, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am of the opinion that its simply a film. It has the traditional theatrical release, in addition to the Premiere D+ thing (pay extra $30 to watch it) for obvious reasons. Many other companies are doing that, viz, WB. It's fine if you call it a D+ film IG, just keep in mind that it's not a D+ original and that it has a theatrical release. Sources may call it a D+ film, and that's fine. Dcdiehardfan (talk) 06:09, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Estella's description

[edit]

Estella es described by various sources as "cunning and ruthless young woman, that doesn't care about the cost to get what she wants". This should be included in the character description. "Cruella" trailer view count statistics

[edit]

Deadline is reporting that Cruella managed to nab 71 million views in its first 24 hours: [5].

I am hoping we can add these statistics into the film's "marketing" section on its wiki page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.105.162.120 (talk) 01:36, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Character names

[edit]

I've just reverted changes to some character names, twice. Please include a reference from a reliable source be making such changes - thanks! JezGrove (talk) 20:22, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Description makes no sense

[edit]

cruellas real name is Naseema kaseema, she's a very big nosey bugger — Preceding unsigned comment added by 102.220.8.103 (talk) 19:27, 16 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

To play Jasper, Fry didn't look back at the character's depiction in the original animated film or the 1996 live-action remake, only copying his physical mannerisms.

Plot length

[edit]

As of June 12, 2021, it is 629 words long. Just a reminder. – ChannelSpider (talk) 02:24, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

WP:FILMPLOT says the plot section should be 400-700 words. It also says that credits sequences should not generally be included.
Even if editors genuinely believe the credits sequence contains some essential plot detail that must be included and they want to try and make an exception the plot length rules must still be followed or the changes will be reverted.[6] -- 109.79.161.174 (talk) 22:26, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
