Khazar was NOT an byzantine Empire but a Jewish state. This is a well docunented but unkown fact.
- Yes, I partially agree. Khazar was not a part of Byzantine Empire. But at the same time it was not a Jewish state. It was a Turkic khanette. (The name Tzitzak means flower in Turkish) It is true that the Khazar royal family embraced Judaism, but it was after Tzitzak's death. (First Judaistic khagan Bulan was two generations younger than Tzitzak.) Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 11:27, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
